| FTBL The Good, The Bad and The Ugly vs. Boomer

The good: Nothing, absolutely nothing

Bad: the refs in the SEC suck

Ugly: the coaching staff’s ability to get a team ready to play. The Game plan. The inability to target anyone beside #2 or actually let the RB run with the ball.

I’m am losing hope with this coaching staff quickly. I truly can handle getting beat. I can’t handle the apparent lack of prep for games. I was willing to accept a “players coach” may be a good change from Saban… but that thought has pushed out of my mind quickly.

It is not that I did not expect struggles and more losses than we are used to in year one for CKD. It is how it has happened and who it has been against and lack of preperation in those games. Also, just really not a fan of coaches not being able to make adjustments AND the coach speak. Just gets old when you are putting a team on the field that performs the way it did last night. The fire CKD showed against the referee needs to be unleashed on the coaches first and then the players that are not getting it done. Sombody has to say this crap is not acceptable when you play for Bama.

CKD thinks he is getting a lot of heat now, lose Saturday at home to the Barn and he is going to see another level of disatisfied fans.

Auburn has peaked…They have reached the very good level at the wrong time…Their defense is as good as the Sooners maybe better..

That is mind boggling for sure. They were getting yards when they got an opportunity. If the play call was a read and Milroe was missing the read then the OC should call a straight up run and take that option out of his hands. As soon as OU saw a read option they crashed down hard and Milroes legs had no chance.

I get your concners about the staff for sure but give him a pass in year one. His year one has been better than most at Bama. I want to say if he wins 9 that will be a high for first year coaches but not certain of that. At the end of the day he has never coached in the SEC and this is a new system to these players and it shows.

CKD's coach speak isn't doing him any service. Say it like it is. It's not like the players & coaches don't know. Speak TRUTH into your program. Be Clear & direct. The team will respond more positively than all this fluff talk.

One thing about the barn winning last night was, it was in voodoo land at night. They won't be able to replicate that exact same level of energy off of what few fans they bring to BDS. Now, if the IB were in auburn this year, holy shit. It would be worse than the 2005 game where Brody was sacked 280 times.

But ...with it being in T town, that may just be our saving grace. Plus, think about this. If Deboer loses at home to a 6 loss auburn team, then next year's game is in auburn. Holy fuck, he could be 0-2 vs them after next season. Now THAT is Shula level BAD

Good - OK had all those starters hurt before this game. I don't know how but I guess it could have been worse for us if they had played.

Bad - 'Bama has the two worst losses in CFB this season.

Ugly - 'Bama responsible for 2 signature wins for our opponents in 2024.
Id argue we were responsible for three signature wins for opponents this year. Tennessee, Vandy and Oklahoma. We were the highest ranked team each of them beat. Though I can’t confidently say we were the best team any of them beat.

I think they are very dangerous… We salvage their season and put them in a bowl.. and could boost their crootin..

Two words = Rat Poison

This team can't help it. They take their wins to the bank (quite literally) & it feeds to practice. And theyshow up with a game plan of throwing your helmet on the field to win. NOBODY is intimidated by this 'Bama team.

Maybe CKD isn't used to having the expectation of winning like he thinks. It's one thing to coach at these underdog schools to get his team ready (which he does a GREAT job when he's coaching as a disrespected underdog) but it's a whole other animal at 'Bama where the other teams whole season will be made by beating 'Bama. He has to get used to planning, coaching, preparing against every teams best. He has to get into the mindset of his players to do the same & be REAL when evaluating.

One more thing! I didn't see any Bama fans at any time! Were they stuffed up in the nose bleed, like when Bama was in Texas? Another, one they only time showing the cheerleaders was a still shot sometime in the 4th!

Legitimate question (Looking at you Brandon, UAgrad93, etc,,,) Will Deboer look hard at replacing Sheridan & or Wommack?
Sheridan (at times) appears to have the attention span of a goldfish - he gets away from the RB run game faster than most people get away from a snake. If I were Haynes/Miller/Young I would head out to somewhere else if something doesn't change in this area.
Defensively, I see undisciplined play, how many times last night did you see the DE go so far inside & open up the QB run - no gap integrity.
I have not seen any adjustments during the game (to speak of).
What's y'all's opinion about the coordinators? I have mine now (they both would have had to find transportation back to Tuscaloosa last night & would be brushing up their resumes this morning.

Their fan base is as cocky as they were in the Shula era right now. One plus (besides the game not being in auburn this year) could be that aTm took a shit ton out of them, taking that game to 4 OTs.

Good: lived through La. Monroe loss, I'm sure I'll survive this. RBs had a good per yard average on all 15 carries 4.2 ypc.

Bad: Running the same shit that wasn't working over and over and expecting different results.

Ugly: It looked like Jalen was in the "don't get hit" and run from sideline to sideline mode.

CKD should’ve conducted a hostile take over of play calling at some point…JMO..

And do the airborne parachute fall.. tuck and roll into the fetal.,

We should’ve seen this one coming. I didn’t but I should’ve! Even the “leaders” on this team were talking about the sec championship game during the week.
Meh, it is what it is at this point. Let’s beat the barn and move into ESD and hold on to the class they gave coming in.
