Good - I have been down on Milroe for a lot of the year, but he definitely came out on fire and seemed to be that guy we all thought he was going to be this entire year. He was a leader, looked fast, made good decisions, and was very accurate. All of those things for four whole quarters. I am here to say how proud of him I was, because he is showing his potential and what he can do when he decides to be an athlete and let it all hang out. I think he still needs to show consistency for me to believe he can uphold this standard and win a Championship, but I am very pleased with his response in a big game when every game is an elimination for the Alabama Crimson Tide.
The defense looked great. Still wish we could get home more and find a way to not be so vulnerable in that 10-20 yard range over the middle. Our boys played so good last night and I am very happy with what we have seen the last few weeks out of them. Campbell looked revived, Lawson was all over the place, and our DB's were playing very well.
The entire team played as a TEAM. It was beautiful to see and they showed their potential.
Bad - Hate we had a few guys get knicked up, but hope they are all ok.
Ugly - The excuses that DeBoer doesn't have his players and dealt with the portal entrants to left no depth. This shows what him, his team, and this program are still capable of. Our two losses had zero to do with "his players" or "transfers", it had to do with the fact he had to get his hands deeper into the program and find out what makes this team tick and how to mold that into a contender. DeBoer is finding his way and doesn't need excuses for why he makes $10M a year and was brought in to follow Coach Saban. Losses happen, it's a new world for a large part of this staff and they simply needed to keep working. Hopefully they all have it working in their favor now and can make a push here.
