| FTBL The Good, The Bad and The Ugly vs. Bayou Brian

Well lsu fans don't agree about officiating
But all close calls looked like they got em right. Maybe a few " makeup calls" toward end of game

I think they had a gripe with the TD that they upheld... everything else looked legit and I didn't really notice any egregious missed calls that would have impacted anything.

It's pretty much been like that going all the way back to the beginning... Bama had some hard times for a few years in the early 2000's, but that has been an outlier. I LOL'd earlier this week when they talked about Gov. Landry bring the tiger back... Probably should have waited until they played Arkansas or some such for that move...

I'm still scratching my head about that one given the superstitions of those in Louisiana.

Let's bring a tiger to the football game, from the state of Florida, knowing how football has been going down there this season. About like SMU asking to borrow the horse this season from FSU.

I don't know... I like most of the college football traditions, even some of the wilder ones... and I'm ok with a tiger being out there but the idea that it's supposed to be some intimidating factor is just dumb. That part, I do not get. And yeah, just bring back Mike if you're going to do it... not some rental cat.

In the Bryant era, the team and coaches would have to walk by Mike as they got off the bus. With a young team, don’t recall the year, Coach Bryant stopped and ssid loud enough for the players to hear, I’m not afraid of you, Mike. Of course, Bama won the game. Coach Bryant was a great motivator!!!

I guess there are some folks scared of a caged tiger, but it's really just a zoo animal. I've never seen a kid run screaming from them at the zoo. Wanna intimidate some guys, bring Jake the Snake Roberts out there... at least some people are actually afraid of snakes. But, I do like the spectacle of having a live mascot out there.

Good - I have been down on Milroe for a lot of the year, but he definitely came out on fire and seemed to be that guy we all thought he was going to be this entire year. He was a leader, looked fast, made good decisions, and was very accurate. All of those things for four whole quarters. I am here to say how proud of him I was, because he is showing his potential and what he can do when he decides to be an athlete and let it all hang out. I think he still needs to show consistency for me to believe he can uphold this standard and win a Championship, but I am very pleased with his response in a big game when every game is an elimination for the Alabama Crimson Tide.

The defense looked great. Still wish we could get home more and find a way to not be so vulnerable in that 10-20 yard range over the middle. Our boys played so good last night and I am very happy with what we have seen the last few weeks out of them. Campbell looked revived, Lawson was all over the place, and our DB's were playing very well.

The entire team played as a TEAM. It was beautiful to see and they showed their potential.

Bad - Hate we had a few guys get knicked up, but hope they are all ok.

Ugly - The excuses that DeBoer doesn't have his players and dealt with the portal entrants to left no depth. This shows what him, his team, and this program are still capable of. Our two losses had zero to do with "his players" or "transfers", it had to do with the fact he had to get his hands deeper into the program and find out what makes this team tick and how to mold that into a contender. DeBoer is finding his way and doesn't need excuses for why he makes $10M a year and was brought in to follow Coach Saban. Losses happen, it's a new world for a large part of this staff and they simply needed to keep working. Hopefully they all have it working in their favor now and can make a push here.

Bad: The days of Saban are over. The entire coaching booth was emptied and the game was not over. What ever happened to “play the next play… the score board doesn’t matter”. I mean I get it, but I don’t like what image it sets.
I was saying something similar when I saw that. Not a fan at all.... Several things CKD allows that have not been a fan of but I keep going back to his record and saying if he wins and sustains and basically lives up to the standard I willl not care. I have my concerns but not like CKD needs my approval.

Bad: kick coverage wasn't too great tonight
Off the top of my head:

One was returned to about the fifty...break down with a kick that went to the near side and they returned it up the far side. It was a breakdown; no doubt.

Another had yards tacked on by a penalty. I want to say that one started their drive around midfield, a little shy and still in their territory.

A touchback.

And then three that had them starting farther back than the 25.

What did they end up getting? Three, or was it six points?
