| RECRUIT ALABAMA'S 2020 Signing Class - Wednesday opens final signing days

Alright fellas.... Getting caught up on some of these cats.

I need to know where we are planning on playing this Drew Sanders cat? I remember watching some tape when he flipped to us... I just watched some more and this M'fer is absolutely freakish. I personally would love to see him at OLB, mostly because we have so many weapons on O that TE or H Back would seem like to small of a role. That dude is scary athletic, mean, and smart for his size. Also is he enrolling early?

Oklahoma wanted Sanders to play TE. This is why I have my fingers crossed Bama lands a legit TE prospect in this class. I agree his talents would be best utilized on the D side of the ball. Helluva athlete.

Tim Watts said last night he was told Damieon George still has a spot and that if anyone currently committed were to sign elsewhere it would probably be Jayson Jones.

3* CB Ronald Williams 6-2/188 Juco/LA hudl *

CBd by Hank & Tim after Saban's visit yesterday.

"Was named to JUCO All-America first team yesterday. A lot of schools jumped on him this fall when his tape started making the rounds. Ideal size, physical, good ball skills, has the attributes to contribute right away imo." -- HS

Eligibility = 2 years to play 2.

Good lord do they need a good TE ... but we'll leave that alone.

Casey is bat with a dinger!

His is one of the recruiting stories I like to hear. As an OU commit he was going to play tight end. That's what he wanted to do and that's how the OU staff pitched him.

Enter Saban and Bama and they're recruiting him as a linebacker. As his high school coach was discussing Drew he mentioned how much he wanted to play TE but following that by mentioning how Drew's father (on his sons's team's staff) and Drew begin to look at the future; the bigger picture if you will.

Call me an old sap if you like ... it's these types of stories in recruiting that keep my attention each season. To me, I see coachability, ya know?

Hey those articles I posted were just the first two I found on Google search. I need to find more to restore faith in all y'all. :):):)

Brian Branch, S, Tyrone (Ga.) Sandy Creek – There may not be a better senior safety in the country than Branch. His senior production has been off the charts with more than 1,100 yards receiving on 60 catches, 14 touchdowns and two touchdowns on over 600 return yards. Defensively he’s been just as active with 15 interceptions for his career and fantastic feel for the football. Already a Top100 prospect, the Alabama commit is up to a 96 rating with a chance to contend for the top safety spot in the country when we see him in person this January. – Barton Simmons

4* LB Will Anderson 6-3/233 GA hudl *

The Alabama commitment has one of the quicker first steps we've seen in the 2020 cycle. Anderson flies off the snap and is often in the backfield before opposing offensive linemen are out of their stance. That quickness pairs with high-level closing speed and pad level to give Anderson a desirable skill set as a pass rusher at the next level. Anderson has a new rating of 95, moving up within the top 75 at No. 64

Tim Watts said last night he was told Damieon George still has a spot and that if anyone currently committed were to sign elsewhere it would probably be Jayson Jones.

I have been way too busy lately to keep up with a lot of details. I've always thought Jones was a lock. Where else would he look to sign?

4* DL Timothy Smith 6-4/320 FL hudl ^

DT, Sebastian (Fla.) Sebastian River – With some of the best senior film at defensive tackle we’ve seen this cycle, Smith has made huge strides since his junior tape. He looks trimmed down and in better shape and the disruptiveness has followed. He’s a physical, penetrating defensive lineman that shows the kind of motor and movement skills in a plus frame that makes him very rare. The Alabama commit cracks the Top 100 due to his senior productivity (over 30 tackles for loss). – Simmons

I expect Davis to actually contribute (somewhat) next year, ala Jerrell Harris/Tana Patrick. If he can remember to wear his kneepads (see HBO Saban Belichick documentary)!

If he sticks at OLB it could happen... That's an interesting position coming into next season. I don't remember Allen getting as many snaps as I expected and he was the #3 guy. After that I'm not sure how the depth chart shook out but we didn't have much of a rotation this season
