| FTBL Updates on Alabama players that are entering the transfer portal...

All this shit makes me really respect what players like Brodie Croyle, Tyler Watts, Freddie Millons, and Santonio Beard went through in the early 2000s. I'm sure some of them wanted to get out of Dodge, but they stayed and were unsung heroes in a very bad time.

For those of you who aren't aware there may be some more transfers out soon here's the pieces of the puzzle I've found so far:

@Brandon Van de Graaff and I have speculated that Jaheim Otis is being tampered with by BOTH Ole Miss and Georgia right now word is he could be possibly transferring out soon.

Justice Haynes is another possibility, his father was already vocal about being unhappy about his playing time BEFORE Saban left. They gave him some carries in the CFP to appease him a bit. He stands to be the featured back in this new system but I'm hearing rumblings his dad is unhappy Saban retired and Haynes is getting offer$ from other schools right now to be their feature back.

I think the guys left have stuck it out quite a bit and let the regime change finish, get to know the coaches and come to a decision. I respect and admire that resolve to let things unfold before making a hasty decision. We'll be fine if they leave so don't freak out if they do but I think we're about done with transfers out and we'll start having some more good news to talk about soon.

@bamafan9201 I am at the point now that the roster needs to be guys that want to be here for championships w/ NIL just a perk.

I am not convinced in any way the NIL compensation has led to any school championships. Its fairly new of course but IF teams were buying such apparant advantages then why aren't they doing anything of consequence? Frankly, I don't know how a HC creates TEAM championship culture with a highly paid player caste system inside the locker room. It's hard enough for PRO teams with grown men to do it much less a bunch of high school graduates.

Frankly, it seems quite inconceivable for a team to be championship calibre with this situation bubbling to the surface.
