Good - the game is finally over. Defense played solid, didn’t give up big plays for the most part, was stuck in awful situations by the offense, but couldn’t cause any turnovers. The stone hands of the UGA secondary (similar to Auburn’s), glad they couldn’t catch Ty’s passes. Penalties were low…
Bad - punt game, run game. Continuing to go to the run play after play for 1 yard. Ty’s accuracy again was just bad, no other way to describe it. The 3 and outs are incredible. Started both halves with 3-and-out and had a lot of them in between. 70 yards of offense at the half, somehow.
Ugly - Stockton outplaying Ty. 3-14 on 3rd down. Having 2 snaps across mid-field through 3 quarters. Not being about to stop UGA runs with 3 minutes to go and we know they will run. Stockton and Frazier each rushing for more yards than our entire team. Bama having net -2 rushing yards. -2!!!!! That is U G L Y!!! The blocked punt, and muffed punt, continued our special teams woes. Terry can correct me if I’m wrong, but some stats showed us top 10 in special teams mid-way through the season (UT week), but we clearly aren’t that. The blocked punt set the tone for the game. We couldn’t get in FG range the first 3 quarters so it wasn’t on Talty tonight.
We looked like pansies out there in a game where the world was watching. DeBoer has now lost 7 games and likely one more to go this season. He’s also had 2 game where we scored 7 or less. It’s good thing he’s an offensive mind. I’ll admit, I didn’t see this coming, so many losses and a struggling offense, but here we are.
