🏈 The Good, The Bad and The Very Ugly vs. MSU

Good- Bama won.:rtrsign:

Bad- All the game,:smh: till Bama with ahead:bman:

Very Ugly- Watching the game on a radio! yelling at it because you can't see what is going on!:rant2:

I'm bout to be super petty right now... all the idiots constantly calling for Jalen to be benched can take this game and shove it right up their tail pipes..

Good - Jalen is king... play calling got better in the fourth except for the field goal drive... it's time to throw that little empty backfield, QB draw out of the playbook. As soon as Harris motioned to the outside, both safetys crept up and pointed to Jalen. They ran that play twice and both times that happened. Defense's know it's coming now. Jalen played one hell of a game all-around. His poise is ridiculous.

Bad - Too many times Jalen scanned the ENTIRE field and no one was open. A few receivers (Sims and Smith in particular) made some big plays down the stretch but need more consistency. Play calling comes into this. Jalen also held the ball a little too long a few times. I honestly think he was hesitant to run a few times, trying to make a play down field. Dont ignore your instincts completely.

Ugly - Holy shit defense HORRENDOUS. They didn't gain a ton of yards but too many 5-6 yard gains ALL GAME. D-Line absolutely BLOWN off the ball. And I am beyond tired of Tony Brown at this point. He can't cover, can't tackle, IDK what the hell the deal is. Is Shy Carter or any of those freshmen REALLY that bad? Holcombe has no business on the field, I'm sorry. I know he has some fans on here but he is too slow, constantly out of business, a bad tackler, no natural instinct. How many five stars are playing behind him? Yeah I know experience, but Im pretty sure Ben Davis wouldn't literally tackle a receiver as time expires on a hail mary, mind you a receiver that wasn't even starting to look for the ball yet either.

State's decision to blitz on those last few Bama plays. 3rd and 15 and you blitz a safety? Either very stupid or no respect for Jalen. He respects him now.

Tried to keep it shorter this week, know yall hate my long ass rants on these but cant help it *shrug*

good - the win

bad - Oline and D-back play for most of the game. i get we had some starters out, and thankfully the backups got some much-needed reps....but jeez. 'bout gave me a heart attack

ugly - we just looked lost on too many plays. we didn't look like our usual, composed self. and that can be bad in final game.

One thing I haven’t seen too much mention of that played a big factor was the good ole LSU hangover. That was a helluva game on our team last week. I saw a banged up and tired team take the field that came through defensively when they had to in the fourth. I saw an offense carry the defense in one of the handful of times I can remember in Saban’s tenure. Seems like every year, every good team has one of “those” games. Let’s get rested and healed and enjoy a hard fought win over a good squad.

I know you don't think much of my predictions, but I'd be surprised if Holcombe plays much against the barn. Surely, we have someone healthy enough to get that spot.

Good - A win. Jalen did better with looking for a receiver after the first was covered. He didn't tuck it and run as much.

Bad - Holcombe, DL, 3rd down defense

Very Ugly - OL, OL and the OL

I really, really, really hope you're right. I hate, hate, hate crapping on a player like that but my God. I'm sure he's a great kid and all but damn it. How many times does a guy have to miss tackles, miss assignments, be out of position, make mistakes before it's time to get one of the young guys a shot?

Good- Jalen Hurts is clutch! We got the W in hostile territory against a team that had a really good game plan.

Bad- the rules committee for coming up with the leaping penalty! I understand the intention, but that really is a bullshit penalty! That penalty really shifted field position and we never recovered in the first half.

Ugly- D line play was subpar for most of the night to the point that it really didn't matter who we had playing LB!

I honestly don't get the penalty. I mean yeah, I get the "safety" issue but hurdling is legal, why isn't leaping?
