How would everyone rate Clemson?
I wouldn't rate them at top of their game right now to be sure. I had two TV's going yesterday and I was surprised how inaccurate Trevor Lawrence looked at times and UNC was getting some heavy pressure on him all day. Trevor has a nice throw downfield but what was striking to me was his throws to the edges and intermediate passes were without touch at times and just downright overthrown. Defensively, they play fast and are solid but they certainly gave up more third and 4th down conversions at crucial times than you would expect and the team committed penalties at other crucial times that you wouldn't expect from the #1 team in the land. I know Mack Brown knew that he was over-matched but going for two at home? I'm not sure I agree with that one. He had Clemson on their heels and UNC had all the momentum. Is Clemson as bad as they looked at times yesterday? I really don't think so. They are good for one of these games at least once a year seemingly and probably won't be challenged again until late December. Does BAMA look better at this point? I think so.
The Good: QB play, great WR routes, running game improving and the OL gelling. Deonte Brown looks like he was ready for action though maybe a bit chunky.
The Bad: Poor angles taken by defenders trying to tackle the Ole Miss QB. Kicking the ball but what else is new?
The ugly: Whiney ass Alabama fans that expect, despite all the injuries, attrition to the NFL and coaching changes for there not be challenges to overcome and that every Alabama team must look like every other Alabama team. Winning should be paramount and now that's not even good enough. Just wait until next season when the offense isn't clicking like this one. I'll choose to enjoy one of the best offenses you will ever see wear Crimson. Some of the others here just keep on whining. This run will one day end and only then will some appreciate what we have now.
