We limited LSU RBs to 59 yards. They averaged 2.3 yards

Nuss threw 121 yards.
MVB threw 52 yards.

Defense forced 3 fumbles.

Bro, just stop looking for negative in everything Defense did. Wommack called a good game today. I gave him B plus for coaching today.

LSU called lot of screen passes. They didn't go over 50 yards on any of their drives in the game. You can say " They would've had this and that had they caught the passes.. but guess what? they didn't. They got off the field.

You don't like Wommack Defense... and that's cool.. but at the end of the day, Lawson, Pierre, Overton, Jefferson, Hubbard, Hill-Green and Simmons and many others did hell of a job tonight and I'm not going to take away from them just because you don't like how the defense operated.

If anything Penalties for LSU was what cost them the game.

We have no pass rush. Our backers are always in no man's land. Our corners play too far off the ball. No stat you share will take away the fact a decent offensive team will gash us. We haven't played anyone that is a high level like Phio State, Indiana, or Texas A&M.

Not being negative, just a realist unlike you at the moment. We have a few guys that play their ass off, but simply can't make up for shortcomings of others every play. Spare me the "negativity " bullshit because you're beyond yourself by acting like this is some stout defense. LSU dropping balls is on them, not us, so give up on that one as well. You've made excuses all year and try to paint everyone in a corner, so your game is tiring at this point.

The Good - The defense. What a night for them. No touchdowns allowed, they caused turnovers and they were hittin out there too! They carried the team to the W when

The Bad - Ty had an off night. He missed a few throws that could have been huge. Wasn't exactly "bad", he made a couple good ones too, just off relative to his capabilities.

The Ugly - The offense. I mean yeah, when the most important player on the field is having an off night it's gonna be ugly sometimes. Made plays when it counted tho, leaned on defense. It do be like that sometimes. Got that dub.

All in all, I thought it was a really good win against an SEC opponent who in their words had "nothing to lose". Their defense was hunting tonight too, they abused our O-line in the run game. I guess everybody does that tho. Hubbard is a play.maker. and always seems to be in the right place at the right time. Dijon Lee is standing out more and more. Mr. Do-it-All Germie Bernard is so dependable. I see you too Pierre. I like this defense man, I'm liking them more and more every week.

Good- marked improvement by the D. Pierre and it’s a dub in the sec where we get every one’s best!

Bad- we need the Oline to step it up so we can run the ball and so Ty has time to run through his progressions.

Ugly- an ugly buck tooth cousin with a smokin body kind of win!

Good-I am not a coach like Bamafan334, so my opinion might not carry much weight. But I disagree with his opinion about our defense. They have carried this team for almost every game this year. They have held LSU, USCe, Tennessee, and Georgia to their lowest point totals this year. Also, a win in the SEC is always good, although it may be an ugly duck win.
Bad-Ty was off for most of the game. I believe any chance he had at the Heisman has disappeared because of his performance the last few games.
Ugly-I believe the biggest problem for Ty and our run game is our offensive line. The run blocking is pitiful and the pass blocking, although better, leaves much to be desired. Deboer ñeeds to make it priority one to hire an OL coach that can do a better job with the talent we have.

A lot of good in this game especially from our defense. They played their best game, in my opinion. Pressure wasn’t always there, but it was there. Our DBs and safeties did their job, didn’t give up big plays. Penalties were where we want them to be! Great discipline. Ty made the plays he had to, even though it wasn’t his best game.

Some bad, we’ve averaged about 65 rushing yards the last 2 games. The last 4 games we’ve had 3 runs by our RBs that went 10 yards or more, an 11 yard run, a 12 yard run, and a 13 yard run. In 4 games! We won’t win a NC with a struggling run game unless Ty finds his mojo. Us not grabbing momentum after that first fumble when we went 3 plays for -2 yards and a FG. That was a chance to really take the game over.

Not a lot ugly. Nuss was pretty ugly, a Heisman candidate getting benched for a second game. The backup should start going forward. He was better. LSU dropping some key passes and our guys dropping a couple of passes. Ty setting up our TE to almost get killed there in the 4th quarter was pretty ugly. And that pass that Formby ended up with was an ugly decision.

You are looking bigger picture. I completely get that... I will say the D has improved a lot which has tended to be the case under Womack. Biggest improvement being giving up the explosive plays in the run game. However against great offenses will it be enough with some of their deficiencies?

How a team plays matters is my takeaway from your post which is how I think also not just the final scoreboard. All in all I would say the D got a B and the offense was a C at best.

Our offense is off. Look at the yardage totals that have been put up since the Vandy game. 325, 373, 325, 344. Or maybe that is just who we are. Has the feeling of an NFL type offense and game.

Good- The win.... Bama D is playing better. Still have some snafus with run fits and getting out of lane on pass rush but all in all I will take a single digit scoring performance even though some of it was because of LSU's mistakes. Held their total yards to something like 235 yards. I will take that.

Bad- Run game - not push but the OL. Also the energy level that the team played with. Been that two games in a row now. What is goign on with that? It is impacting their execution especially on offense.

Ugly- a few posters on here projecting some magical cure for the run game.

Bad: Running game would be bad, if we had one.

Ugly: The make or break defense. Make a good play for loss of yardage, be it a sack or TLF and turn around and give up a 3 and 13. IMO, I don't believe our defense is that bad, D-line is pretty stout, just giving up plays to a team that is the worst in the SEC on 3rd down conversions doesn't translate to being able to stop someone like aTm on 3rd down.

See, you are doing the SAME THING that you accuse’81 of. When you say shit like the quote in bold, your argument loses credibility. The turnovers were not because they are a bad team- a lot of the time the ball was on the ground as a direct result of the actions of the defense.
