🏈 The Good, The Bad and The Ugly vs. LSU

Good- we win. Defense played well in the first half, A-/B+. Second half a C.

Bad- Ty had an off game missing open receivers. It happens. Soft coverage by our DB’s.

Ugly- Tired of the inconsistency on offense. Long, slow developing pass plays, not using the TE more, not having a hot route on obvious blitzes and no quick hitting slants. Very frustrated, haven’t seen a lot of improvement this season. Yes, I know what the record is but there is no way we are the 4th best team in the country.

The good is we have a basketball coach who gets his teams to play tough no matter the circumstances. Labaron Philon is incredible. And Latrell Wrightsell and Davion Hannah came back from injury scares. Oats yet again is proving he is one of the better coaches in the country. And he deserves a $100 million contract.

The bad? We can start with Ryan Williams, who would probably treat every possession like a TikTok dance trend instead of running to get the first down. Ty Simpson also has been god awful all night. Even simple passes were too tough for him. Formby saved what would have been a horrendous pick at the worst time. Why even throw that? Then Grubb being so insanely stubborn to continuously run cute plays for no reason. He will have a string of great play calls that looks to have the offense in rhythm. Then it's a WR jet sweep, a mistimed RB screen or run up the middle for 2 yards, and then probably a WR screen or WR throwing the ball behind the LOS. It makes no sense. Dude is forcing weird wrinkles into an offense where it doesn't work.

Ugly is Alabama's performance in the second half this year.

Good- WE WON..Auburn didn't..The defense played fairly well.. The defense is learning how to attack the ball a lot better, now creating turnovers..Penalties were low..

Bad... No Heisman moments for Simpson..

Ugly... Jekyll and Hyde offensive play... we do not have a running game.. if we don't miraculously find a running game we are not a championship caliber team.. if we can't run the ball at all, we need to go empty backfield.. Oklahoma is coming off of a bye week... hopefully they are flat like we were, but I doubt it.. their defense is much much better than LSU's defense..And Oklahoma's quarterback is better too.. Please, stop running the ball out of the end zone on kickoffs!..

Good:WIN!

Bad: Very bad start, letting LSU stay in the game!

Ugly: Disney+, HULU, ESPN. During the play, LSU had the ball in scoring!!!!!! My Disney+ with out completely, I had to reboot it and then with the way ESPN is, I had to get back to the game. It started back at the beginning. You would think that Disney own ABC, HULU, ESPN. I wouldn't have all this crap!!

On that play where Fromby caught the ball cuevas was wide open on that play.

Good: Defense all over the field. They continued to get better throughout the season. Wommack, I don't care what ya'll say....He's very good.
Bad: Ty got in his own head. He's making mistakes he normally don't make. I think for the most part... He's okay... I kept mentioning that he needs to have elite game to build his confidence.

Ugly: LSU offense. Lot of screen passes, and not one single deep pass down the field.

Good- any W in the SEC is good! Outside of the 37 yard run, the defense played lights out! Only 232 yards on 58 snaps and 9 points. LSwho played loose, while Top 3 talent wise, they just aren’t very good, whether it be scheme fit or talent development.

Bad- offense seemed to be a step to a step and a half off all game. These slow developing run plays need to be ripped from the playbook and burned!!! Our best runs come from toss or simply getting straight downhill. Ty was off tonight. A few drops didn’t help, but I think Baker had him seeing a few ghosts and they brought the heat.

Ugly- can I list the slow developing run plays twice? We get no push from our OL. I know we like continuity in the coaching staff, but damn! Our OL coach leaves me less than happy!

Simpson was God awful???
Dude I’m sorry but you are full of shit

Good- The win.... Bama D is playing better. Still have some snafus with run fits and getting out of lane on pass rush but all in all I will take a single digit scoring performance even though some of it was because of LSU's mistakes. Held their total yards to something like 235 yards. I will take that.

Bad- Run game - not push but the OL. Also the energy level that the team played with. Been that two games in a row now. What is goign on with that? It is impacting their execution especially on offense.

Ugly- a few posters on here projecting some magical cure for the run game.

Why throw deep when you can shred us all game long on anything under 20 yards? You say Womacknis good, but we allowed a ton of 3rs and longs. Thank goodness LSU receivers followed the lead of Tennessee's by dropping wide open passes all night long or thisnis a completely different conversation. We play 11 yards off the receiver, so hard to get deep and even dumber to force that over everything we give up. Not even to mention our shitty zone linebacker drops.

We only gave up 9 points.

We limited LSU RBs to 59 yards. They averaged 2.3 yards

Nuss threw 121 yards.
MVB threw 52 yards.

Defense forced 3 fumbles.

Bro, just stop looking for negative in everything Defense did. Wommack called a good game today. I gave him B plus for coaching today.

LSU called lot of screen passes. They didn't go over 50 yards on any of their drives in the game. You can say " They would've had this and that had they caught the passes.. but guess what? they didn't. They got off the field.

You don't like Wommack Defense... and that's cool.. but at the end of the day, Lawson, Pierre, Overton, Jefferson, Hubbard, Hill-Green and Simmons and many others did hell of a job tonight and I'm not going to take away from them just because you don't like how the defense operated.

If anything Penalties for LSU was what cost them the game.

Good. Fans into it. At first.
Win......D.
Bad. ...what happened to fans. Omg. Ty had some many open receivers and...missed

What happened to fans...seems they..we...all just went tosleep...

Ugly. Bend don't break drops. More drops.

Team doesnt have a "kill switch". Could have put them away...and just dont.
But manages to have a "will".

Roll tide
