🏈 The Good, The Bad and The Ugly vs. Mizzou?

I'm talking about the narrative as a whole. Look at the original tweet. Yes, he was out of position. He completely misjudged the ball and the fact that the TE was gonna leap and grab a pass 9 feet out of the air. He should have been there to tackle him. But the narrative that started all this was bullshit, that is my point.

Dijon Lee will take his spot, so either way his narrative may be reality soon.

Mizzou came in averaging 292 rushing. 163.
Before the game you implied and maybe even said the numbers were padded due to who they played. If you measure to what you should, this is still at least 63 yards more than it should be if not more. It will be argued this is my outdated measure of what is possible these days with portal and NIL and maybe that is true.

Is it against whom or is it a "good" for the defense?

Mizzou comes in scoring over 45 a game. 24.
Brandon mentioned third down conversions. They led the nation. 61 percent. 1-10.
Mizzou came in averaging 292 rushing. 163.
They were averaging 547 in total offense. 330.
True but the argument made going into our Vandy game was “against who”. Who did they put up their big stats on. Like we said, who has Vandy beaten.

Mizzou beat up on:
Central Arkansas 61-6
Kansas 42-31
Louisiana 52-10
UMass 42-14
And their big boy opponent South Carolina 29-20.

It’s a thin resume, at least in my opinion, and based on those teams’ records. They got the gaudy stats against 4 weak teams.

Maybe so. And with the way they yank guys (which I'm 100% fine with), he better stay on top it, or it'll happen to him too.
I like how the coaching staff holds the player accountable for lack of efforts on the field and isn't' afraid to put freshmen on the field. I just hope the OL movement has settled in.... because it's hurting them and the run game a little. We need Carroll to play majority of the snaps Saturday just to get full picture of him.

Good- beating an undefeated on the road
Bad- rush defense still has a little to be desired, in their “defense” though, the 2nd quarter on was pretty solid.

Ugly- Injuries
2nd Ugly- SEC officiating last night. My goodness. Not that I’m sad or feel bad for Auburn, but they got the shaft a few times last night. My only hope the officials in Auburn last night are there during the Iron Bowl and have the same vendetta against Auburn.

Roll Tide- flush. Time for Tennessee.

So, they are not just staying with an upperclassman just because. Going with the best player. A novel idea! We may have kept a few more players in the past if we had used this idea!

Glad we won and it wasn't easy

Punter is a liability
#87 could be very helpful going forward
#15 played pretty well with the exception of not passing on short dumps to 26 that would have got us huge 1st downs.
Bama kind of had control of this game at the 5 minute mark in the 1st half and then it all turned to shit and really didn't stop until the pick by 5 at the end.
Don't understand why they continue to send out 75 to play. He needs a TE beside him on every snap.
There is something mentally going on with 1 on defense. He really doesn't want to be on the field at this time.
Our Ilbers are so average. You just can't hide them.
I just don't have Mizzou down as a really good team
Hope 30 and 26 recover quickly from the concussions
I wish I could say that the team is getting a little better each week but I just don't see that at all. It's like we just start all over each week with another script

I do not understand the punter liability part. I don't get it at all.

LOL, I'm sorry, I know it's past time to move on from Mizzou, but I just remembered them interviewing Drinkwitz right before the game...

Sideline Gal: Your run game vs. their defense, how do you feel about that matchup?
Drinkwitz: We'll find out on the first play. [with smirkish smile]

First play, Hardy runs for 6 yards... 2nd play, 7 more yards. He only had 2 runs the rest of the day longer than those 2, one for 9, and 1 for 11 yards.

24 hour rule.
