šŸˆ The Good, The Bad and The Oh So Ugly vs. That Ugly Orange

How many of those were given up during garbage time, when we were allowing them to dink and dunk and burn clock? I don’t like it either. I want total domination by the defense as well, but I understand with a huge lead, you want the clock to run!
68-70 yards were on that last "drive".
Dude you played football - don't you realize that great stats are better than wins???
I realize that I'm preaching to the choir here.
Since a lot of people play "what if", I'd say what if Ty gets the 1st down on our last series. We probably add 50-60 yards to our total & take the 70 off of theirs.

I do not measure Bama to how the opposing offense has done against other teams.. That is not the standard and I know you do not like that approach. Measuring to that standard wins champonships....
Why do you think Saban employed so many assistants to breakdown what opponents had done against other teams? It's fundamental to judging, well, practically everything. The measure are your peers in any given season.

The subpar comment is hyperbole. it's not a fair assessment.

When you read the preview threads how often do you see the people who habitually find the bad/ugly? UT was damn good in some areas that were changed: TFL's cut in half is another.

4K is the way to go.... I just hate when they forget to go back to the game sometimes after the commercial break ends and you're watching a kickoff or something from a corner end zone birdseye camera. LOL

I still enjoy cherry picking some games to go to, because there is something about the stadium atmospheres that can't be replicated... plus you get to see friends and such, but it's hard to beat watching at home these days.
Try doing what I do.
I paid my wife $25 for a hotdog & coke, pissed on the floor of my bathroom, and went out to the driveway & set in my truck for 3 hours after the game!
Adds a lot of realism.

Good - What a great win. As has been said, the crowd was loud, and on the pick six play, it was loud, then stupid loud and, when he evaded the tackler, mind bending loud. Long drives - 69, 75, 91 and 99. When we got a shorter field, we seemed to squander it.
Bad - Big lapses by D - but, they hold everyone when it absolutely matters. Also, Hill looks great, but he's getting some toss sweeps. I think Jam would do well with those instead of those crappy inside handoffs. Any penetration by a DL ruins the play.
Ugly - There were a good number of Vol fans at the game. A good number. They thought they had us, and they were loud during our first possession. Who decided to let their band on our field? In the end, though, it's beautiful watching any shade of orange leak out of our stadium.

Another good about the 4K broadcast - at halftime you don’t have to hear Dried Snot & his Bama hating bullshit.

Good- beating 10RC is always great

Bama offense was strong last night, and many players contributed to the success. #5 is a great player and we're lucky he came to Bama.
#4 RB looked the part last night ashpnd lets hope he continues to progress. He has some strong hips with good speed and power.
#2 showed real progress catching the ball and hustle. He gets serious about his game then he will in high cotton.
#15 is a playa and with #1,#17,#2,#80,and #5 Bama is in great shape for a strong run
Bama defense is hard to figure. JMO but #0 and #1 are the weakest of our starters. One of the LBers has to take #0's place. #41 is getting better each week and #42 is really coming along. His speed is a big deal.

@Brandon Van de Graaff , I haven't gone back to review what some guys were telling you about the team during the summer. But I think, from what I remember, this team is now living up to what you were told and what @TerryP added from time to time. I don't know why they waited until after the first game to show it but do you agree with that's what we're seeing now?

Funny you ask, I almost said as much last night but left it off. You may recall I could not figure out why that FSU game did not match up at all with what was coming out during the summer and leading up to the opener. It made zero sense. I'd spoken with people at UA and also a couple of agent friends who had been the practices (and scrimmages)... all were on the same page in their assessments. That's why that FSU loss was so confusing... how could those people have been so wrong? Well, turns out they were not wrong, Bama just laid a massive egg that day. An egg that gave many of us flashbacks to last season's issues. But yes, the team we are seeing now is the team many were expecting to see. Still a long way to go, but it's good to be back on track.

You might be stupid if your defensive alignment has 3 down linemen and no one else can be seen on tv screen. It’s an obvious pass expecting defense and invites a simple running play from the offense. We have been gashed/gutted from this alignment for 2 years. If we gonna line up like this, some coaching may be required to keep us from getting killed in case they decide to run. Thinking we have given up 500-700 yards rushing while in this ā€œwommackingā€ set.

Saw that 123 yards of Vile offense came in the last 2 drives while we held a 3 score lead. I’ll sacrifice yards for an asswhipping to the Viles!!
