The last time we lost an opener was in Bryant Denny Stadium in 2001 with Fran as the head coach. Lost 20-17 to UCLA. I was there unfortunately.


I remember specifically we ran a power I in the inside the 10 yard line and some dumbass in front of me said it was the wishbone. lol.

I was there. Bama went for it on fourth down instead of attempting a short field goal. Stopped on fourth down. Lost by three points.

When you can purchase a player, it is hard to believe Bama has to settle for a punter as we have today. I doubt he can stand on the 50 and kick the ball in the air into the endzone.

Yup. We got beat in every aspect of the game… but not only beat, we looked like a midlevel high school team playing.

I can handle getting out played, but that performance had our starters looking like the 3rd stringers with zero prep playing. Shocking how undisciplined and lost they looked.

All of that points to coaching (or the lack thereof).

Can’t have a whole lot of confidence when you’re back there running for your life. I wouldn’t say scared, more like frustrated. Did he play perfect? No! Did anyone else? Hell nah!! Ty made some mistakes but he kept some plays alive as well. There were times when he made throws, but we dropped it.
Let’s point some blame at James Smith and his dumbass penalty that killed any hope of getting the ball back with the score at 24-17 with around 7 minutes to go. We were unprepared, undisciplined and we let FSU beat our ass at the LOS.
