Good:
-Defensive Line was tremendous. Played their most physical game I can remember seeing in a long time
-WR's stepping up. Mechie and Brooks... Those guys were out there making big time plays with the season on the line
-Bryce. That kid just has a great ability to stay calm, cool, and collected. Wasn't pretty but he has elite mental toughness
-Will Reichard coming through! Great job by him.
-Defense in general... LB's were flying around and the DB's were active. Despite the overrun by Hellams on the TD, he probably played his best game in Crimson
Bad:
-OL Play. Obviously it's a problem that just has no easy answers. Getting tougher and tougher to point the finger at O'Brien when both pass & run blocking are a struggle.
-Officiating. Just so many questionable calls. The 1 that stuck with me was the block in the back by an OL... I was under the impression that was legal if it was behind the LOS. Could be wrong. But a handful of other head scratching calls as well
Ugly:
-That botched FG hold. I feel for that kid... It's become a mental thing. CNS finally has his stud kicker and now it's a task to get the ball down for him! Great job by the backup to come in and execute under pressure
MY PLAY OF THE GAME - Might have gone unnoticed with the crazy amount of disappointment following the botched FG, but Auburn tried to run to Will Anderson's side and he just stuffed the RB about 3 yards behind the LOS. The reason I point that out is because all momentum was going against the Good Guys, and that play just signaled the D and ultimately the team was not going anywhere. Would have been easy to give an inch there, but he's just too special. Gamechanger!
