🏈 The Good, The Bad and The Ugly vs. Auburn

Good - The Defense saved this game. Well Done! Bryce Young. And an IRON BOWL WIN in JH!!! Roll Tide Roll B!tches!

Bad- OL got utterly exposed. Injuries. We really need Robinson against Jawja

Ugly- AUBURN... Ugliest place on the planet!!! Dumba$$ personal fowl injury for losing a helmet & still playing is the dumbest penalty that I have every seen in my life! NCAA needs to get rid of that candya$$ penalty! Still pissed off about that stupid penalty. What else was he supposed to do? Bend over & kiss his own arse? GRRRRRRRRR

Good: The teams competitive spirit when they had every reason to fold. Years of building the foundation help here.

Bad: Everything. With this game plan it feels like some of these coaches have already been shown the door for next year and have checked out. No other way for me to explain the game plan they came up with other than lack of preparation.

Ugly: Everything else.

I guess the Barner Nix whine will go to another level but anyone that watched that game knows the Barners got more help from the Referees than Bama did.

Good: Right Tackle switch after half time. Metchie never quit the whole game.
Bad: last game of regular season and we have penalties, penalties, and more penalties
Ugly: 4 OTs to beat Aweburn. But I appreciate it more because they didn’t give up

Need I identify which is which?

Good - We fought back and won the game. Takes a lot to do that after showing absolutely nothing at all for three quarters.

The front seven defensively. Those boys came to play. One of rhe best backs in the country was shut down.

Ja'Corey Brooks! What a catch and a presence for the team with Williams out. Big plays by the Freshman.

Bad - our pass defense. We just cannot get off the field. I cannot understand it.

I still think the call on Jameson was wrong. He was trying to hit with his shoulder as you can see the way he reacted once contact was made. He got his head on thw right side of the ball carrier, so that was proper technique. He lowered his head, but who doesn't when bracing for impact. He did not launch or lead with his head. I still freaking hate this targeting bull crap. And that goes for any team, not just us.

Ugly - the first three quarters of play for us. I haven't ever seen that bad of play since I became a fan of the University of Alabama. It was way worse than the Championship against Clemson. It was almost abnormal. We were failing everywhere, everywhere.

I just hope we were looking forward, though I know we weren't. We better have a game plan next weekend, because if we thought Auburn killed us, Georgia is going to knock our di$!@ in the dirt

Good: Alabama won after Auburn thought they had a win. Perseverance of the team to drive the field (except for three yards) to force overtime and then survive four overtimes to win.

Bad: Offense and defense. Couldn't block, couldn't run, couldn't catch, couldn't defend, couldn't tackle.

Ugly: Slade Bolden. Although he caught the TD in overtime (his only catch of the entire game), he provides no offensive threat to the defense. NONE. He can't get open. How does a starting receiver not catch a single pass in the entire game until overtime? Backups had more catches than he did (and they didn't play until the second half). Even after Williams went out, he still didn't catch anything. RBs had more catches than he did.

Good - The D, and we kept playing. No one gave up.
Bad - no RB depth. Trey has made it back to contribute, and I love that, but he's no longer dynamic and more of a Roy Upchurch plant and push guy. I'm hopeful he continues to progress.
Ugly - O-line, game planning (which, I know, is dependent on guys blocking and catching), but B-Rob wasn't the only person pissed that we weren't running.

Still, a win. A win over aubrun typically just brings relief, not joy. I'm so happy we ripped their hearts out.
