| FTBL Mike here your Good, Bad and Ugly thread!

Good: A decisive win. Team did what they needed to do and took care of business. Forced turnovers continues to be part of the teams identity. Played a lot of players. Was it like 4 QB's that we played? Defense even scored.

Bad: A few untimely penalties especially in the first half.

Ugly: The amount of time it took the referees to decide we had not gottent a TD after the fumble recovery by big #74. Wish they would have given it to him because he was pumped thinking he had gotten a TD.

One other thing why are we not getting #22 more touches and playing time?

@mando here is what I found out!
I had to go and look up the 4th string QB! Cade Caarruth if any of you that don't know! Like me! But, man, that Austin Mack, I don't think he even see any defensive back!

Good: On the first drive, going under center, the little reverse handoff to Ryan Williams... sweet little call that they can build upon. I mentioned before the season they had an under center package, beyond the short yardage stuff. Will we see more of it? We shall see. On the 2nd drive, the Williams TD where he's in motion and Milroe fakes the handoff to Miller and dumps it off to Ryan was just as nifty. Both plays put him in space where he is tough to handle.

3rd game in a row now that DeBoer and Sheridan have gotten Milroe into a rhythm and flow early on with some high percentage throws, which fills his confidence tank

WR blocking as a group is getting better and better under Shephard... that had been an issue the past few seasons under the previous staff. Example: Bernard picked up a spare on #2's second TD.

Good to see Simpson get some legitimate reps. After he settled in, he made a couple of really good downfield throws even though they were not all completed. He's got really good pocket awareness for a kid that hasn't played much and his ability to escape trouble using his legs is impressive. Would have liked to have seen him get 1 additional series but getting Lonergan and Mack out there was needed as well since this was likely the last chance for that this season. Glad all 3* got some time and cool to see Mack get that TD to Rico Scott (which was a great catch). *Walk-on Cade Ott Carruth also got to finish it, making it 5 QB's on the day for UA... Yes, from that family.

Bama's defense forced 3 turnovers today, and that's the 5th game in a row that they've forced 3+ (and 6th game out of 7). That's what this Swarm defense under Wommack is built to do when things work right.

Russaw's interception was pretty sweet. He's getting a bigger role now, and thankfully, he's gotten enough reps this season that he's ready for it.

James Smith played well. Love seeing these younger guys making bigger strides.

Jihaad Campbell again with another good game... he's so much more comfortable in this scheme now than he was in September. Justin Jefferson also stood out.

Saw some good things from the younger DL guys late in the game...

Mercer was just 1-9 on 3rd downs... Bama's 3rd down defense the past few games has shot back up to the top percentile again.

The player participation chart for UA is going to look like the Tuscaloosa phone book (if they still had those). And that's always a good thing.

Bad: Bama's O-Line had their hands full with the smaller, quicker Mercer DL... we've seen that before, like earlier this season against USF. To some degree it just has to be schemed around. Unrelated: Bama must get better at right tackle. Way too much inconsistency from Pritchett. I think Formby will be the long term answer, he's just not ready yet.

Along with the OL having issues, it bled into Milore's passing. You could see he was rushing throws at times... missed a couple of open guys because of it. Overall, not a bad day for him, he made good decisions and also had some good throws... but it could have, should have, been better.

Burnip had an off day punting... only 2 kicks, but both were duds. If he was going to have an off day though, today was the best day to have it.

Ugly: Autrey's crew... for those that don't recall, it's the infamous referee that led the blind mice in the game in Knoxville 2 years ago. First series of the game, they blow a horse collar call which extends the drive for Mercer. That roughing call that actually helped Bama early in the 1st was trash too. It didn't get much better from there... really unfortunate that this is a weekly deal now in the SEC, but this crew is bad. They can't even spot the ball with any consistency. Sankey should trade them to the state of Idaho for a 2A high school crew.

Notes: Good to see Robbie Ouzts get his first TD of the year... dude has done some serious dirty work this season that has gone unnoticed and underappreciated.

Mercer's freshman QB (Newbauer) was pretty impressive. I could easily see him being a portal guy to a bigger school by his JR season if he keeps improving.

Good. How bout crowd on a game vs fcs team. Really good. Enthusiasm was good.
Stands mostly full. I was impressed
And the weather. Wow. 70s n beautiful

And the catch by mercer receiver in ez for td. Great catch

Bad. No complaints except damn refs Slowed things down. Make the call. Quit looking around

Ugly. Just long damn commercials. Yuck.

Good: Milroe going through his progressions and developing into a much better QB.

Also good: I gotta eat crow. I HATED how this D looked after UGA and wanted Wommack gone. Now we're one of the best and most aggressive defenses in the nation.

Bad: Mizzou giving up a late TD against South Carolina.

Ugly: Lord Brian Kelly's team at LSU looks horrible.

From the game post, I posted it on.
I think that the SEC Big Wigs should go back to Dollar General and take back those officiating crews!

I don't know if @alabama mike is on here. But here is the

Thanks Rick!

Duty called with me being at the hospital with my momma and I was not able to listen or watch. Some days football is just not important and today was one of those days.

From what I have been able to see on the news and hearing people talk.
Good- played a lot of kids who practice every day and do not get to play a lot.
Bad- playing Mercer
Ugly- playing Mercer (I’d would rather us play instate schools)

Good: A lot of players played, 4th string QB got some playing time!

Bad: SEC refs flags calling , then not a flag!

Ugly: having to watch the commercials than wasn't a commercials. Watch a SEC sign along with a very crapping sound!

Telling April I never seen it that full going into the 4th!

When is the last time you've been in Tuscaloosa? No dig or knock here. I stopped going years ago .

Even after a game like Mercer...have you tried to get a burger after a game at a bar on the strip?
I was there a few weeks ago and have been three times this year. Only one event was related to the college and it was mid-week. Played a reception in the south end zone suite for a ladies golfing event. I have not been to a game in several years.
