I’ve stated simply and pretty clear that I’m against Hamas, so when people keep saying how I agree with Hamas then no it isn’t me.

First, is the bolded statement some kind of racial/ethnic reference? I am a libertarian, but I have observed that inciting race seems to be a common fallback position of the left. Perhaps you should look up the ethnic history of Jews and Palestinians.

Justneedme81 is now the second person to challenge you to take a look at your own language and how it comes across. You have also accused many in this thread of being "blind" or "blinded." How often do you ask yourself the same question? Is it possible that you are blinded - even if just to some degree - by your own ideology?

Last, in another post, you demand that someone look at the last 40 years of history. Why stop at 40? There was no history before that? I challenged you in another post of mine on the question of why you haven't excoriated the Brits in all this? Do you really know the full history of all of this?

I’ve not seen anything like that, but I don’t particularly have to. I know two Palestinians very well, my doctoral advisor is Palestinian, I know what they’re taught, but after 40 years of oppression by an apartheid government how do you think they should view them?

I think it was one of those years that they held a military parade on the streets of Gaza, something (predictably) went haywire and there was an explosion, killing and injuring some Palestinians... Hamas tried to blame it on an attack from Israel, which of course was false.

Their emergency checklist is:
1. Blame all bad things on Israel.

There’s no conflict with apartheid government, the Israeli government is in fact an apartheid government when it comes to Palestinians

I'm glad you posted this. I was about to. I wish certain people would watch the whole thing. It very much represents the issue in a microcosm. Cetain people really don't understand actual history, they are driven by emotion and talking points. Dershowitz is absolutely impeccable in his word and in his knowledge. Too many people are hyper-vigorous in opinion with lack of actual facts.

Then there is this disgusting practice of selecting a convenient date to hold to accountability - "so and so did this on this date and therefore our response was justified..." Complete BS. The truth is that area in conflict goes back thousands of years. Islam was the last of the Abrahamic religions to take hold and it was about 700 AD or so - AFTER thousands of years of history already taking place before Islam was even a thing. So when people say, "oh in 2014 so and so did this and so the response is justified..." Bull$hit. You want ot pick a date that is convenient to your narrative. Both sides can do this with impunity and it is still crap.

No governments are saints. All do snakey and disgusting acts. But there actually are differences. For me ask youself this simple question. If Hamas hadn't done their attack and the negotiation between Israel and rational Muslim states went forward and resulted in the two-state solution where Palestine is given land and sovereignty, would there be peace? The answer is no. And that is because Hamas and Hezbollah and their Iranian puppet master and the other Islamic states that are complicit are not interested in reality in having a Palestinian state. They are interested in killing Jews and erasing Israel from the map AND that is documented in their charters. They want a continuous state of terroristic war. What does that tell you? The Israeli's were perfectly fine in these most recent negotiations with the two-state solution. But it won't work because of the other side. And that is why there is a difference.

And, oh BTW, before Islam, there were a multitude of peoples in the region, Jews, Essenes, Egyptians, Palestinians, etc., etc. and they fought and had peace and fought again and had peace again, so don't give me that crap that the land belongs to so and so. There was thousands of years of history before Islam even became anything. And if you're going to carefully select a convenient date for your narrative in modern history you better know your $hit and you better go back to pre WW1 when this whole thing started (in modern history) with England and France and the Ottomans and Hussein bin Ali and the rebellion against the Turks. Because that is what set the modern crap in motion. And there are no innocents in this mess, and the Brits are the most to blame for that.

Lastly, there is a difference between sovereign entities that have a constitution and a documented charter of self-preservation vs. those that have a documented charter to kill another segment of human society at all costs and by any means. Civilian deaths as collateral damage are always horrendous, but when you store munitions and strategic equipment surrounded by your own people as shield you are destroying your own people to further your political agenda.

Posting NYT opinion pieces isn’t anything other than one person’s opinion. Israel hasn’t vacated Gaza and it most definitely is an open air prison, it’s not hard to find that out, but I get it seeing proof would put a dent in the entire Israel is wonderful. Palestinians online have shown proof of everything I’ve said, but again it doesn’t show Israel in the fake prism of being sweethearts and shit, so I get why you wouldn’t want to see actual proof.

Two differences between Hamas and Israel- one side is brown and one is white and one has America’s backing and one doesn’t, those are the only differences.
