| CURRENT EVENTS Is it safe to say Trump just secured the nomination?

According to NY law he falsified business records. Not sure why y’all are having such hard time understanding this?
He falsified business records? How many CEOs do you know that are entering items on an accounting ledger? At most it is a ledger error which might be a misdemeanor. How does NY file a federal charge with no jurisdiction?

I'll start by saying, again, Trump is a piece of crap who deserves no special consideration.

I'll say, though, that the prosecution's case that the transaction was obscured to hide it before the election is a red herring. If they'd simply recorded the payment on the date it was made, the campaign finance disclosure wouldn't have been due until December, after the election. The campaign finance expert ready to testify to that fact was not allowed by the judge, nor was that fact allowed to be included as part of the jury instruction.

Had an average person fully considered that bit, I don't think the prosecution would've gone 34-for-34.

His lawyer said on CNN “we didnt call any witnesses because we live in America and the burden of proof falls on the prosecution”

You should know that what a lawyer says on CNN/Fox, such as "there was voting fraud! stop the steal!", is different from what is said in court. They attempted to bring in the election law specialist, and the judge excluded what he was allowed to testify to, such that any line of argument on the timing of financial disclosures was rendered moot.

Again, Trump is a piece of crap, but if a reasonable jurist was told a hush payment wouldn't have to be disclosed until after the election, then the prosecutor's position that they were hiding this ahead of the election would be nullified.

If that was their only witness they were screwed from the start. Like they could’ve called Trump to the stand, but everybody with an IQ above the speed limit knew he wasn’t getting up there.

I don’t buy that this was some rigged court case just to “get Trump”

One person's " Hush Money" may be another person's "Blackmail. " Hmmmmm, I wonder. If this is the case, did someone put Ms Clifford up to this? She already lost a suit to Trump and owes him many thousands of dollars for legal fees.

I didn't say that, at all. I'm saying the prosecutor's key point for a good portion of the charges isn't valid if the jury understood that the timing of campaign finance reporting refutes the prosecutor's key allegation - that they tried to hide the payment so it wouldn't be learned ahead of the election. It's a key flaw.

He could’ve been found guilty in Wyoming or Texas and all of you would still be bitching and moaning about it being rigged and unfair just like his stupid ass would be. Speaking of get real
You been given a specific example of where a man's constitutional rights have been violated. That's real. It's not about Trump: though that's how it ends.

1st, 5th, and 6th amendments if I'm recalling the constitution correctly.

They’ve been violated no matter how many times you, Fox News, chicken neck Tucker, or any other righty says it. As I said he could’ve been found guilty in Texas or Wyoming and y’all would still whine about it being rigged

The judge excluded the election law from being brought in front of the jury.
No, he narrowed what could be asked. They could’ve still called him to be a witness just like they could’ve called any witnesses, but they didn’t and why didn’t they well let’s take his lawyer’s exact words “because we live in America, where the burden of proof lies with the prosecution and we weren’t going to help them prove their case”
