I'm late to the party, but the Ryan Williams stuff is really good news. There were a handful of guys I really wanted Bama to sign in this class and he was among them. Impact player on day 1. DeBoer is quickly proving to everyone (rivals included), that he's a winner off the field too.

It is the norm now, any coach who wants to really compete has to be on that level. CNS pretty much made it that way.

Isn't it interesting how each coach needs that signature recruiting class to propell them? I hope Deboer is riding the wave of LANK because there are a TON of folks who want to see him internally combust. Some of which are 'Bama fans.

EDIT: if Les Miles could follow up with championship runs after Nick Saban, then surely CKD is going continue the momentum with Saban's players, AT LEAST.

Les had 28 wins at Okie State before he took the LSU job: over a four year span. 25, over two, with CKD at UW.

I think this would be the case IF it were not for the Portal. That brings a dynamic that can honeslty go either way. The decline can be faster or the success can be sustained but the method of doing it may be different.

Times sure have changed, in the past this time of the year the recruiting talk was jumping. Not any longer. Only one I want to see is Williams actually sign. I am sure there are others but he has gotten the most press and visibility oh and I still do not trust the Barn to break the bank.
