Would he have been competing for a spot next year? Not sure how all of the positions would work out but the only ones I can think of solidifying anything are
Downs
Domani
Amos
I honestly feel bad for the guy. No insight to as why he had the snapping "yips" but to be his age and to go through what he has gone through. It's had to been tough. Good luck Seth. Roll Tide
Man I hate that he leaving! I too follow him just because he played in Lanett High School. Not to far from me. Does anyone think he will transfer to Clemson that were his brother is playing at ?
I wish Seth well! Hopefully, a change of scenery will help him.
I can recall back to my junior year in HS, our starting center could NOT snap the ball back to me in gun to save his life!!! They were over my head (I’m 6’2”…so) rolled them back and fired them left or right. My HC decided before we ever played a game that 1) he wasn’t abandoning our shotgun stuff and 2) he was going to find someone that could snap the damn ball!! He settled on our right guard, who happened to be pretty damn smart as well. Whenever we went gun, those two swapped positions and after I called the play, our “new” center would tell our old one his blocking assignment. I mentioned before on another thread that Coach Homer Smith used to cross train all of the interior OL.
