Who were some of the portal guys Bama got in the spring transfer season? Was Gibbs a spring transfer? Jameson Williams? Landon Dickerson? I can't remember.
The tackle from Vandy Steen did pretty well for Bama and is starting for the Eagles.

Saw this on the Coaches suggesting a change in the portal. I doubt it passes because it makes entirely too much sense.

During their meeting at the 2025 American Football Coaches Association convention, coaches supported the move to a single portal window from Jan. 2 through Jan. 12, starting for the 2025-26 academic year. Such a move would eliminate the current portal windows in both December and April with the single, shorter window. The recommendation now moves to the NCAA oversight committee and ultimately the NCAA Division I council for final approval, which is far from guaranteed.

If this is actually true, then Kalen has zero confidence in Ty as his starter for 2025.
If so, then Bond’s controversial transfer to Texas may not have been so crazy after all. With the ‘24 season behind us, it’s hard to imagine him matching the success he had in ‘23. He probably concluded Simpson wasn’t worth waiting around for.

I think his success was because of Bowers and McConkey.
Nah. I can’t say I watched UGA closely this season, but Beck’s receivers definitely dropped some passes against us. And i recall many pundits criticizing the lackluster WR room all season long. I’m more aware of UGA’s OL injury problems all season long too, preventing cohesion. So poor run blocking + poor pass blocking + mediocre WRs = poor QB stats.

This is how you get caught in a rundown...

Matt Hayes (who is not known as a very reputable guy for starters) throws up what appears to be a poorly, single (anonymously) sourced article on Carson Beck. On3 sees the story and mines it into a tweet (and of course, a story of their own), making sure to add that Alabama line to gain maximum engagement. Meanwhile, fans are making assumptions about everything and everyone. Finally, according to the above post, On3's own staff speaks up and says the original article, and their own tweet, is inaccurate.
