🏈 The Good, The Bad and The Ugly vs ut?

Good - First team O on the first drive of the game and last two drives of the first half and everything in the second half.
DaBoll's play during that time span.
Jalen's play during that span.
FINALLY started using the middle of the field and it paid off. Irv Smith Jr. will be a good one, despite the stupid fumble.
The defense the entire time, especially Mack Wilson, Evans, Frazier and Wallace. Those were the guys that really stood out to me on first watch.
Tua's play after the pick, minus the dropped snap. He really had two bad plays and a bunch of really great ones.
Ruggs and Jeudy, we really have to get those guys more play. Sims had the one really great sideline catch and I can't blame him for dropping the deep pass early in the game after he hit his head the way he did, but both he and Foster go silent for extremely long stretches of the game. It seems like every time Jeudy, Ruggs or Smith are in the game they are making plays. If it wasn't for their ability to block, I honestly dont think you could make a solid argument to give either Sims or Foster much playing time at this point. Foster is lazy with his route running, has bad hands and pretty much zero leaping ability. He's fast and a great downfield blocker, though. Sims isn't very good route running and his hands aren't very good and he's not very fast, but he's huge with good leaping ability. Just like Foster, he's a great downfield blocker. Jeudy, Smith and Ruggs all run better routes already and they're true freshmen. All three are also faster than Sims and Ruggs is probably just as fast as Foster. All three have better hands than those two, too. I think we see them alot more in the second half of the season. How much success they have will be based on how much they approve as blockers.

Bad - Jalen had three or four really bad throws in the first half. Play calling was shit for a large portion of the first half. Tua's pick was really bad and the dropped snap was high but he still should have caught it.

Ugly - That asshole flipping off fans. Absolutely uncalled for and referees should have the power to throw players out for shit like that. Saddest part is that he was having a solid game up until then. Pathetic and disrespectful.
Butch Jones' decision to throw the hail mary at the end of the first half. It was completely unnecessary and he caused his QB to take yet another WICKED hit that he didn't have to take. Could have been worse and had he been hurt, what then? Stupid decision.
Punt returns, good lord. What the fuck? That's really the only way I can describe it. Three guys have returned punts this year and all three seem to be unable to just fucking catch it. Marks still looked better than Ruggs and Diggs in the past few weeks but he bobbled one punt and then straight out fumbled other. Still, he probably had the best return we've had all year even though it got called back for a completely bullshit flag on a clean block. Ruggs is the guy that I think will ULTIMATELY be the return man but right now I honestly dont know what to do other than just put Ridley back there and tell him to fair catch every punt.

Good: Smoke 'em if you've got 'em! 11 in a row now.

Bad: Cam Sims' attempt to tackle the Vile who ran back the interception

Ugly: Returners who can't catch the ball

Oh God, I wanted to punch my freaking TV when Sims showed off some wheels and actually chased the guy from behind only to lightly tap him as an attempt at a tackle. You know Saban is going to get HOT over that one in film study.

Good- the sweet smell of victory!! Cigar smoke everywhere!!
Bad- penalties
Ugly- the UT fat bastard that made the back handed comment about "Alabama fans not having class or knowing the cigar tradition!" I turned around to him and pointed at my ring and then said, " I earned that damn right!" Took a long drag off of my stogie and blew it in his direction. The asshole ALMOST ruined my mood and my stogie!! ALMOST!!!

Hey man, are you really allowed to say that much when you do the TG/TB&TU?

But seriously. I don’t know that I can agree with you with Marks doing better than the other two guys. I was really frustrated with the fact that, instead of being back far enough, and then coming up as much as he needed to, he basically backpedaled on every punt reception but one. That puts him in a bad position already. And didn’t it seem like to you that he actually reached back to his side to catch two or three of the punts? I don’t think that’s good either.

I would agree that if ruggs can show responsibility he will be the best person to field our punts.

By doing better I mean he actually caught some... and he had an explosive return. The only explosive return we've had all year.

Good:
A. decent win(heading into the bye week when guys are worn out.)
B. Tua looked really good with exception of pick 6. Sharp focused. Bounced back after pick. Marched down field. Sharp decisions and accurate passing.

Bad:
A. special teams (punt/kick returns.) and blown plays(Tua, Sims)
B. Jalen looked unfocused. Bad passes, inaccurate. Almost looked like seeing the bench was a relief for him :(

Ugly:
A. This is no longer a rivalry game. Sad.
B. Butch Jones checking the UT Special play trash can to see his career in the bottom

Good: The defense played well.

Bad: The entire game had ZERO rhythm and was very hard to watch. Timeouts, injuries, penalties, commercials turned it into a snooze fest. It was the most disinterested I've been in a game in a long while. Add that in with our competition sucking ass every week, and it's been a down year viewing our boys from my prospective. They are playing hard and I'm enjoying the Freshmen getting to play and seeing the future, but these are all scrimmages against the JV team at this point.

Ugly: The lung cancer Tennessee is going to cause me at this rate. I plan on suing the University of Tennessee when I contract lung cancer after continuous use of tobacco due to these games caused by their university.

The Good......Josh Jacobs STARTING to overcome his injury and he might possibly become one of the MOST important parts of the offense. JMO but he should be the #2 back in the rotation. I assume Bo is still mending from his injury but he isn't the Bo before the Clemson game injury as of today.

Bad.....The attempt by Cam Sims at the tackle of the LB on the pick 6. His effort was pathetic other than the effort to run the guy down. Had Cam just gone after the legs with a should he would have taken the guy OUT easily. Instead Cam looked for the easy way with a hand/arm effort. The guys is 6-4 and over 200 lbs...C'Mon Man.

Ugly.....Nick should just call ManPower and have them send someone over that could fair catch punts. They pay the insurance you know.

One more thing. If you're in the Camp that believe Jalen Hurts will ever turn into an elite passer then you're missing the boat. The kid is an elite runner and leader. He will get better in the film room and as well as getting into a better play going forward but his passing deal is mental. If I am correct then Jalen has the same mental makeup as I had when I played QB (pee-wee thru college) in that he is more worried about Fuking up EACH throw than anything. He has everything needed to be elite but each time he is called to pass that thought will present itself again. He lacks that confidence in the decision he is about to make and that isn't going to ever be really put to bed. JMO
