Serious question. Do you derive any enjoyment whatsoever from UA athletics?

I absolutely do. I have been a supporter and fan of Alabama Athletics for many, many years. I enjoyed sitting in Denny stadium, as a young boy with my late dad watching the late great Pat Trammel and Lee Roy Jordan as well as other greats like Joe Namath, Paul Crane, Wes Neighbors, and etc. Not to mention Brodie Croyle, David Palmer, Derrick Henry and etc. Everyone has an opinion and when my eyes see some coaches and players not giving effort and even trying to live up to a standard that has been in place for 50+ years I express my opinion just as others. So, to answer your question. Yes, I do derive enjoyment from UA Athletics. RTR

Bad-Just about every player on the field yesterday made mistakes for Bama. Almost comical at times.

I had wondered what would happen to Bama if our QB had a off day and that happened yesterday. Ty was struggling to get in gear with his throws with most being high and the longer throws were not great. His receivers failed to help at times when he managed to get it close.

Bama is damn lucky 5,72,80 came with Kalen. Really solid players. Salute to them.

We have a 2 game season with the most important game coming against a very talented LSU team. Hopefully the Tigers just pack it in for the rest of the season and help with bake sells to raise money to send Kelly back North. That guy abused every coach on his staff last night. I felt sorry for his special team's coach. His OC's facial expression spoke volumes as well. He had no idea he was on TV once Kelly finished that ass chewing.

Beat LSU and Beat OU, then we have another 2 game season but 1st LSU.

Auburn is way way down the list of concerns at this time. This Bama team is a good team but as of today we're not a great team in any area.

We still have a chance, but it has to happen soon. It's not like we're growing better each week. It's more like we just restart where we were the week prior.

I think it was mentioned last year the difference between CBS and ESPN in terms of cameras and production team in the truck. Can't remember the numbers, but it was a big difference.

Yep, we brought it up when talk of leaving CBS started and most everyone celebrated. Their broadcast boot aside, and whatever people thought about it, the overall production was top notch. They put a lot of money and resources into their games. But, I'll say it was easier for them to do that since at most, they had 2 SEC games. ABC/ESPN is spread out all over with many more to broadcast. The Fowler/Herbie crew is obviously that #1 crew and they get the best of the best... the most cameras, best crew, etc. Their #2 crew is the McDonough/McElroy crew. They supposedly get 20 total cameras. All the other crews have less, many have no pylon cams, slow mo cams, goal line cams, etc. And the lesser crews get the lesser experienced production and crew members.

In all sincerity I appreciate the response and am glad to hear it. It is difficult to (for me anyway) to tell sometimes with how you respond to games.

On a side note, Paul Crane was my HS coach. Good man.

Good: A win, on the road, in the SEC should never be taken lightly, IMO.

Bad: Putting the o-line play as bad is an understatement, but the only option here.

Ugly: All those Cock students lining up to rush the field and having it snatched away. They all need a remedy for severe case of "blue balls" this a.m.

I would still love to sit in an ABC/ESPN production meeting. Cut to coach, cut to dumbass in stands, cut to view from cheapest seat in corner of end zone, cut back just as play is progressing. Substitute cut to full close-up of 1 player as needed.

Ugly: not Bama's best game but if I remember correctly, there were ugly games we pulled out every year we contended for a NC

More on this point... the days of an SEC team(s) just absolutely dragging every opposing SEC team week after week is over. There will be circumstances and games where teams will demolish another, but the overall parity that has been built through NIL and rev share has served as an equalizer of sorts. I was personally skeptical that teams like Mississippi State and Vandy would be able to keep up, even by paying players, but they are proving they can. State doesn't have many wins to show for it yet, but they are making teams fight like hell. Vandy speaks for itself. And this is going to continue.

My point is, even if Bama still had Saban, the playing field is different now. The way he won 10 years ago would be foreign when compared to how he'd win now. That doesn't diminish his legacy either, it's just the way things have changed in this new college football world. I saw a stat a few days ago from ESPN that really drove this point home. Anyone that watches the NFL knows how much parity there is as a whole within the league. Just look at the point spreads each week and compare those to CFB spreads. Well as off last week, the average margin of victory in all NFL games so far this season was 10.8 points. The average margin of victory in SEC games was just 10.3.

It's a different world fellas.

Good - Defense was decent. At times I feel we are getting gashed, but teams just can't breakthrough. Lawson looked like the man of old. Daniel Hill continues to show up and offer a spark for us. Bernard as always. Cuevas continues to be a silent favorite of mine. Williams is getting back to the guy of old as well.

Bad - our secondary, namely safety concerns me. I hope we can recruit a legit free safety that can cover deep, because right now we are toast with Sabb in deep coverage. Hubbard has stepped up from earlier seasons yipps I felt he had, but Sabb can't break or dop on a ball to save his life. Ty struggled. It's ok, because thr defense had his back and we moved the ball at the end to get the dub. We had receivers open and if he hits a deep ball or two this game was over first half. Also, if he puts it on a line to Williams on 4th down it's a touchdown, but he floats it while getting hit and overthrow him.

Bad Part 2 - the fans upset with the Proctor play. The defensive lineman got lucky and submarined to just do what he could and got lucky. Not some elaborate scheme to stop just Proctor. It's absolutely fine we ran the play, because until then Proctor has not been stopped for no gain. Have issue running the ball three straight plays when we can't run blocking

Ugly - 4th and 17. Our defensive coordinator drops two linebackers seven yards deep, zero pressure, allows Sellers to have all day to get his guy open and boom, first down. Just a shitty call to waste two guys in no man's land on a 4th and 17. Our backers drop into coverage like robots, to a spot and sit. They don't read their keys and work into throwing lanes and we get eaten up.

- Hill is coming along nicely. He totally whiffed on his block that lead to Simpson's fumble but other than that, he is SOLID.

Hill got to close to the line of scrimmage after the play action and the corner blitzer was coming in hot from the outside. No way for Hill to recover in time to get a piece of the blitzer.

Ty has to get both hands on the ball until he is ready to let it fly. Easier said than done when you get hammered the way he did.

That is why it should not just be left up to officials on the field... That one should be flagged from the booth...they should have an off the field crew or one guy to flag this call... this mistake was missed by the field crew... Could've drastically changed the outcome of the game, if called correctly (even though we won it.)... they have the technology to end these controversies...
