Alabama's tackling is so bad. And I think USCjr had Alabama on its heels defensively and was getting YAC. I do give credit for Wommack and the D for keeping Alabama in the game, but Shula made some very Shula play calls that I think didn't give them the best shot.

Good - It was a win. Apparently this team knows how to gut out a win. Which should help later...

Bad - Play calling on offense was off most of the day.

Ugly - OL run blocking. The frequency of Run calls right up the gut when the OL just cannot seem to get it done.

I honestly ask him. He’s been around here for a while, but he never seems happy. Ever. Fire everyone. Everyone sucks. We won, so what. We suck. Just seems odd and depressive to invest so much time in UA sports when you’re always gonna be disappointed no matter what.

After careful reflection on the game I'm somewhat changing my good, bad and ugly

Good: the defense. Not a huge statician, but looking at Bama's sos so far this year, Alabama has played one of the hardest schedules to date and our defense is (to the best that I can read into the stats) a top 15 defense. The same can be said about our offense outside of our rushing stats. This team could have rolled over the last part of the 4th quarter, but they didn't.

Bad: I wish the OC would have went more up tempo and did more roll out passes and screens to slow down the pass rush.

Ugly: not Bama's best game but if I remember correctly, there were ugly games we pulled out every year we contended for a NC

Good- stayed the course, overcame mistakes to pull out the W. LB corps played their asses off. While the missed tackles bothered me, the Sellers kid is a DUDE!!

Bad- offense was out of sync from the get go. OL got abused A LOT!! While Ty didn’t have his best, he wasn’t helped with some ugly drops. Communication on the punt.

Ugly- for those of you that always hated Verne and Gary, I give you Jesse and Joe!!!

No sir! We never had any ugly games under Saban. Won every one of them 100-0.

Bad...WE ALMOST DIDNT WIN..But, today was a very strange day all throughout football.. and it's not over yet!
Ugly... We were whipped badly on the offensive line most of the game... A Bama forum I read recently said they have not been sleds there in a mighty long time.. BRING THE SLEDS BACK..... THEY MUST IMPROVE QUICKLY OR ELSE... some really good defense is coming, especially Auburn..

I would kill to get CBS back! At least Gary basically knew his shit, Waaaayyyy better camera work & production, & Verne was a genuine fan of the game - Tess tries to MAKE EVERYTHING dramatic.

Yep. And that is the sort of thing that gets memory holed by fans. I said when Saban retired that we were going to see a lot of revisionist history as it related to his tenure at UA. As great as it was, the best run ever, IMO... a run that will never be duplicated or equaled, there were still losses. There were still games Bama should have won and lost. There were still games Bama should have won easily, but ended up in a dog fight. There were just 2 undefeated seasons out of 17 total. Some things are easy to forget as time marches on. That's normal. But I think sometimes, fans conveniently bury them on purpose so they can move the goalposts.
