🏈 The Good, The Bad and The Ugly vs. Rocky Top

Good: Guys didn't go down without a fight, I like that about them
Bad: The loss to THAT team. I still hate Auburn more, but Tennessee is a VERY close 2nd
Ugly: Officiating.....or lack, thereof

After 7 games we still don't know what this team is all about. Little discipline for sure to have that many penalties game after game in in such big moments. It's possible we're seeing the direction of the program, but I don't want to accept that as of today.

This game vs MSU is huge. I expect this team to have a huge case of the poor pitiful me's and that will be dangerous.

Whats is team about
Special team failures all over the place

Stupid n plentiful penalities in every aspect

Defense poorly orgaized
D backfield is weak

Cant trust OC BOB with management at critical time

But

Bryce young doing his thing
Running backs look good
Oline looks improved

Sure it is. He is running O as game is coming to end.
Can be overruled by HC. But still

He is calling plays.
Yeah when we were on the 30 if we run and get a few yards the kick is more managemeable. With that said if Gibbs catches that 2nd down pass he probably scores. Also Will Reichart still should have made that FG but he came into the game with a couple of misses so it had to be on his mind a little bit. Hate that for the kid.

Yeah. He has benn good... especially considering all the others we have had recently. Lol

But that kick is easily within his skill set.

But it seems. Special teams continue to br Nicks goast. Block in backs and holding on KOs
Missed FGs. Stupid plays trying to pick up dying ball? They all came home on this October day

Think about how many snafus we had to make to lose that game and that is not even including the fact we could not cover #11. Mind boggling.

Honestly all those snafus is what gives me hope this can be a really good team. Fix mental error penalties as a minimum and see where things fall.

Good - Bryce, Gibbs, and the fight in our offense after being down early.

Bad - the coaching. Terrible matchups on defense all night, zero pressure all night, those stupid behind the line flat passes, play calling in the last minute of the game from the offense. No clue why from the one we rely on Bryce having to elude two defensive linemen to sneak a pass to a receiver rather than running the ball. Receivers dropping passes right in their hands. No clue why Bond isn't featured more.

Ugly - the undisciplined play causing penalties. The lack of pressure, ZERO hurries and one sack, just a lack of unity. No one wants to work for the other units. Defense gets off the field and then stupid special teams plays hurt. Offense comes back only for the defense to fail. Offense gets in position for a lead and then special teams fails. Just a total lack of unity if you ask me.

Overall, just another game where we look at our miscues to causing a loss. And no, not one 15 yard penalty that hurt, but 130 yards worth is unreal for any team. The frustrating part is we don't really get beat, we usually beat ourselves and it happened tonight. They do not have more talent than us, contrary to some point of views.

Something we agree on again and that is with all of these imperfect coaches except for the head man of course (sorry couldn't help myself).

The way you talk though, the players didn't make the plays on offense, so it's not O'Brien's fault or Golding when we are out of poaition or have bad matchups. My comment was more self-inflicted Alabama program issues, not just inclusive to players.

I do want to add the penalities are 98% on the players. The only one I throw on the coaches was the one after a penalty, a timeout, only to get another delay of game.

What does the HC control? What does the OC control?

IF you run it... the clock runs.... At the end of the day, the ultimate decision is to burn the clock or hope a pass can be executed by multiple parties.

They're all wearing the same headset. Who decides to run or pass? If it's not Saban, why where the head set? 🤷‍♂️

CEO's don't make every decision for a company. They hire other executives to make those decisions on a day to day basis. He's there listening, but not the one making every single call. The CEO holds the responsibility of the company, but it's not him making all those day to day decisions.

Leaders either own it or they don't. Does he own it? If not, acknowledge that he doesn't make the most important decisions. I personally believe he does... If not, those headphones are worthless.
