🏈 The Good, The Bad and The Ugly vs. OU

So proud of this team... I may do a Good, Bad, Ugly later... just enjoying this win right now. I'm going to re-watch the game, but do the UA radio skycam broadcast instead, and may even put on a hazmat suit and follow along with the game thread to see who the quitters were. I bet I already know a half dozen and I haven't even opened it yet. To the rest of you and to the team.... ROLL TIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On to the Rose Bowl, we'll win then...

Good - Resiliency. Down 17-0 very early in a very hostile environment and, offensively and defensively, these guys never stopped fighting.

Bad - The drops. So many drops.

No ugly, I'ma just enjoy this win. What a game from these guys tonight. Roll Tide!

I feel the same. I'm so proud our games overcame a 17 point deficit on the road to a conference rival, and one of the best defenses in the country.

Good:

-Talty nailing to critical FGs (outplayed OUs precious kicker)
-Wommack's defense again was really good. Has some holes in it. Definitely some questionable moments. But overall saved this game for Alabama.
-Brooks is such a beast.

Bad: Grubb's play calling whenever Alabama even has the slightest chance to put a team away by more than 10. Also, why sub out Daniel Hill and decide to run two stretch plays off tackle with Jam Miller? Up 27-17 with the ball. Hill just ripped off the biggest run since week two vs ULM. He got rest after that. Come back with him and let him feast. Instead, two slow slow run plays with Jam that stalled the drive.

Ugly:
-WR drops.
-Whatever the preparation

Good... WE WON!!!...WE DIDNT LOSE TO OKLAHOMA AGAIN!.... The brilliant plan to make Oklahoma shoot their wad in the first half🤡....The pick 6... Kane Wommack's Swarm defense (not perfect) but saved our ass...The catch..Josh Pate, and the game day crew eating much crow.. the SEC now crew having to eat crow too..

Bad... sometimes good sometimes not play calling of Grubb.. I hope he gets that right..Some special teams play..

Ugly... The bullshit, sideline interference, penalty call..I had to eat a little crow, because I didn't think this injury ridden team could pull it off..The clock kept stopping!...

Good- A win and 27 unanswered points. The D after giving up 17 points and giving up only 100 or so yards after that start. Thought of one other good - #31 had a good game.

Bad- All but the last five minutes of the first half. Good lord that start was painful to watch.

Ugly- Dropped passes and the complete disapperance of Ryan Williams. Man I wished that kid could figure things out. He has to mch talent to be missing in action.

Another ugly the offense has been held to less than 250 yards two games in a row,

Good - Regaining our composure on both sides of the ball. Taking their best shots and taking it back.
Bad - A few injuries, but supposedly minor.
Ugly - The Clemsoning decision on the early FG attempt on third down. I don't get it, but then again I don't sprint out ahead of my team before the game.

So proud of this team to recover from an early deficit and avenge a loss. Ty threw better, and more rest will just improve that. D brought the wood in the second half. I love to see those dirt burglars suffer. Roll Tide!

Good- not hitting the panic button down 17-0. We finally called a fair catch on kickoffs!!! Hallelujah!!!
Bad- that first 10-12 minutes! That was pretty much a “Murphy’s Law” quarter. We looked all out of sorts, sort of a carryover from the SECCG.
Ugly- the no call on the DPI right in front of DeBoer! Throw in the sideline interference penalty and I thought DeBoer was going to kill someone!

G- big W on the road in a tough place

B- running game. Gotta get more than 50 yards on the ground

U- my attitude around the 12 min mark of the second quarter

Second Ugly- That god awful pass play right before the two min timeout in the fourth. Almost turned into a pick 6. If you gonna throw, throw it way down field- almost turns into a punt if it’s picked being that it was already third down.

Third ugly - Ryan Williams. He’s so over rated imo.

Good - The fight this team showed and never gave up. Great team win as it took everyone to get out of a 17-0 hole. Literally the opposite of what happened in Tuscaloosa. Pretty unbelievable.

Talty making his kick. Really put Oklahoma in a position to press and us in the catbird seat. Gotta give him props.

Bernard making an unbelievable catch. Lotty Brooks coming up big early to start the comeback. Daniel Hill ran hard and gave us what we needed when we needed it.

Bad - Unpopular opinion, but I still think when we play a team that can catch the football the voids in our defense, especially over the middle are gonna get us beat. Womack has got to learn to put pressure on the quarterback and force them to beat us instead of letting them pick us a part. Not sure how a guy making that money in that position struggles with it from kickoff and has to adjust to the idea.

Ugly - Ryan Grubb has got to get his act together. He seems to not handle a lead very well or how to get his offense going early. He has got to figure this team out and how to call the game. He hurts a lot momentum and questionable calls like the throw to Williams on our own 20 that was almost picked for six at a moment where we were in the driver's seat. Head scratching snd almost catastrophic.
