🏈 The Good, The Bad and The Ugly vs. Jawga

First half, yes.

Second half, he shut our shit down.
Not on that last play. I know we gave up too much in the run game, but remind me of the 3rd down % for each team.
“he shut us down in the 2nd half “ - game is played for 60 minutes. Points scored in the 1st half count just as much.
I’m just busting your balls!
I’m pretty sure we are both happy with the results!

Good: Big Win, Offense played a great first half. Simpson was dealing and play calling was on point. OL played great, I think people point to the running game but honestly it was good enough to keep us from getting behind the chains which is an improvement. The last play call on 3rd and 1 was a thing of beauty and executed to perfection. I was calling for some kind of QB bootleg with run pass option and that is what we got.

Bad: 2nd half on both sides but I guess they did just enough so gotta be happy about that but things we saw in the 2nd half is the exact reason I cannot fully trust CKD yet. Certainly can't trust CKW.

Ugly: LOS on defense is horrendous. This team cannot run the table with this D.

Overall grade for the game for Bama? Thought about this and if they lost I would have given them a C- mainly because of the D and offense in the 2nd half but they won so I will move it up to a B. How you play for 60 minutes matters.

With all of this said Bama needed this win in a big way and I am happy they found a way. Not many teams are going to go into that environment and come out with a win regardless of how the flow of the game played out. Now lets see what they do next week after a big win against a team that is coming in with a ton of confidence and a belief they can and should win.

I could give the whole argument about this, but I don't want to.... plus you're right. End all be all, they lost. Roll tide!!!

Can we please get Pruitt back! Please!!!!!

Can we all agree? CKD out coached kirby by a damn wide margin.
For 30 minutes indeed. Kirby should have kicked a FG to tie it up when he went for it in the 2nd half. Outcome could have been different. I know he was thinking they had the momentum and well our Run D was not very good. I can see why he decided to go for it. Had confidence they could make it. I had ack of confidence we would stop them but fortunatley I was wrong and he was wrong and we did.

FUGLY.... Emotionless CKD, assistant coaches and players.. We must get some kind of swagger..

You need to go back and watch the broadcast. You can see DeBoer on MULTIPLE occasions running around talking his team up. He had a lot of emotion tonight. He may not have thrown a clipboard, gone nuclear on a player, or gone off on a sideline report, but he absolutely had his team's back all game ling when they came to the sideline.

Just curious.. Did you watch on an special channel or ppv or just network..Because the network CKD just seemed like " meh" and Kirby too..of course I watched with about ten people and beer and food...He does appear to be in a new world because yelling and hard coaching doesn't appear to be his comfort zone... But hopefully it will become that..

Good - Ty Simpson. Anyone that dogged him earlier this year should be kissing his balls. That guy threw this team on his back and just went to Athens and performed what I'm gonna call flawlessly. Stuck a dagger in their hearts, pulled it out, and stuck it back in all night, and they couldn't do anything about it.

The offensive line was amazing. Exactly what I said, get the passing game going, get their defense on their heels, and then hit them with a run here and there. There is no shame in being a passing offense instead of a heavy run team. Zero. We are what we are and need to play to our strengths and not die on a running game hill like other non-evolving coaches do.

Bad - Domani Jackson was terrible. Great play early in the game with the hit on the receiver to dislodge the ball. But the blown touchdown was awful. His lack of ability to turn the run back inside almost costed us the game. Not sure how many times your ass has to be beat to the corner by a running back before you take better angles, but he simply wasn't getting it. A pretty damn good defensive effort almost wasted due to him not adjusting.

Ugly - a lot of these opinions and bitching after we just beat a Top 5 team at their house in primetime after what we saw in Game 1. Y'all can all kiss my ass, because we couldn't have asked for more as fans that were calling the season over four weeks ago. Were we perfect, absolutely not, but we did what we needed, made big stops, made big plays when we needed it and walked out of there snapping their winning streak at home, killing their crowd, setting up the rest of our season, and holding a Top 5 team to 21 points and one of the best Halftime adjusters to seven points and an L. Get behind this team, even if you don't like the coaches and be happy with a fucking win. They did what we asked, step up, be leaders, and change the tone. Can't thump your chest with a win and talk about how shitty we played over a Top 5 opponent.

ABC broadcast. Once again, go re-watch. You understand you aren't a good parent just because you yell, beat, and discipline your kids right? There ate different approaches to parenting, coaching, managing employees etc. It's not s cookie cutter profile. It's not his way to tell and make a spectacle. Has he frustrated me? Abso-freaking-lutely. But in an environment like that you think riding someone's ass just like the entire stadium is going to turn it around for them? We won the game, maintained the intensity, didn't fold, and gave up 21 points. I really don't care that we "made mistakes". Who hasn't this year, or ever? Even Saban's best teams had issues, lost games, turned it over. This team did exactly what we wanted them to do, they manned the fuck up and went and won the toughest road game in the SEC.

And in situations like tonight, Saban almost always went the route of cheering them on & supporting - not chewing ass (Will Muschamp had a lot of success with the “going berserk “ method)
