Forgot this Ugly - down 24-0 end of 3rd quarter and we kick a FG down 24-0 inside the 10. Yet another embarrassing decision.

Good - It was the Rose Bowl

Bad- As it stands now, CKD wins games but has YET to field an ELITE team. And when they play against ELITE teams, the teams inadequacies are exposed.

UGLY - Alabama just got it's ass handed to in the fashion of which Alabama has been beating other teams since the Saban era. This game was a huge, slamming of the door SHUT on that era AND how much this program has fallen. This isn't a glitch. Elite teams will continue to expose the gimmick tricks philosophy CKD keeps showing. I'm pretty sure that its not in his dna to build a team that MTAQ!

I was really hoping to see this team turn a corner. Instead, this team was knocked out in the same way we saw Alabama do to others. That's over.

HC looks lost as a goose. Doesn't understand it. Why. Terrible decision on going for it on fourth or terrible play call. QB so soft. TY is better. Totally outcoached. For sure.
But his sitting down vs uga. Instead of throwing ball outta bounds. Was indicater to team. Soft
Poor tackling. Poor coverage. Bad bad bad.

Good - Ryan Williams looked like himself again. Happy for him. Austin Mack looked like the guy that should have started the game.

Bad - Ty's fumble killed the team. Looking at us being down 3 or 7 at Half and instead go down 17. Womack calling off of pressure and us getting eaten alive. Two incompletions is awful. We get beat on one blitz and don't pressure again till the 4th. Once again, our backers get lost in zone and we got drilled by receivers that could actually catch. I said it all year and got blasted for saying it, but knew this would get us with a group that could catch.

Ugly - Grubb and Simpson were both terrible. Grubb made awful calls, totally predictable, and others that made no sense. Both absolutely torpedoed our offense and our chances. And this was a season long thing. Ty should have never played with his back and Grubb should have adjusted ten times over.

I was done with the football season over two months ago. Pulled for our guys and hoped for the best, but knew we would fall short. Didn't expect this butt whooping even though I told everyone not to look past Indiana. This staff and returning players need to look in the mirror and other places to see if they want to be a part of this program and put in the work to win. Coordinators, strength and conditioning, mental coach, academics, it all needs to be on the table. We look weak in a lot of areas, we look slow in a number of positions, and we are not disciplined in a lot of positions. Guys hitting wrong gaps, getting lost in coverage, losing contain, missed tackles, never driving the pile backwards, it all means there is a lot of work to do. DeBoer better have a plan and see it through at an extreme micro level. Your team is healthier than coming into the season and you get smoked. I am fine with going for it on 4th down, but your employee screwed it all up. A quarterback scared to throw into windows and cut it loose kills the team. A defense that gets gashed and doesn't adjust doesn't cut it. Lots of work to do.

For a bowl game, Nebraska beat us 38-6 in 1972, according to Google. So this was the biggest loss for Alabama in a bowl game, ever.

Clemson whacked us.

It will also be interesting to see how they attempt to explain how this season was an improvement over the previous season. Demoralizing embarrassment. I bet that as soon as Ind knew they would be playing us, they were licking their chops, just as we were when we played ND for the natty. Last year, this year too, easy for me to see, not much practice time is spent on Fundamentals or DETAILS, which are MORE THAN DOUBLE IMPORTANT than learning scheme and plays. Fundamentals HAVE to be drilled into each player over and over and over and over before they become automatic. Without fundamentals, BLOCKING, TACKLING, CATCHING THE BALL and each player FULLY KNOWING their RESPONSIBILITIES of any position they are playing. Without blocking you CANNOT have a legitimate run game. If receivers continue to drop catchable balls, I have a problem calling them receivers. Without adequate pass blocking, you are killing your QB. Without good tackling, you march BACKWARDS down to the end of the field you are supposed to be protecting. Any great defensive scheme HAS TO STOP THE RUN...... AND PRESSURE THE QB...... Captain Obvious here, but some things don't seem so obvious to some.

Some changes need to made in the coaching personnel circle and some mindsets need to change in some others. JMO

The last game I recall where Bama was completely out classed from the kickoff was Bama vs Nebraska 1971. We never had a chance in that game.

Bama had no chance in the game today and The Tide even added to the problem. I am glad the jocks and socks are being washed and put away.

Things I don't want to see every again

#4 running laterally trying to catch a pass behind the LOS over and fuking over
#0 playing ILB .
#26,#28,#4 being starters as RB at Bama. They have no talent to be a starter for a good football team. You saw what a good RB looks like today
The current OL coach needs to get the pink slip
The OC needs the pink slip. His design is so F stupid

#1 as a DB is finally over.
#15 needs to move on with his life. No more.
RB coach needs to move on as well.

Tackling has become such an issue for every player on our defense. All our players do is grab.

Coach Cignetti gave us a coaching lesson tonight much like Coach Howard Schnellenberger did at the Fiesta Bowl in 1990 while HC at Louisville.

Year three will tell the tale on Kalen but the problem is the U of A will be millions in debt regardless. How he handles his current staff these next two weeks or so will show us much.

One last thing is the officials let them play and IU held ever play like they knew no holding was going to be called. If you look back on the IU scheme it is pretty simple, and they damn sure execute it over and over with a hat on a hat and they stick with their man instead of this bullshit of trying to get to the next level like our guys do while their defender makes the stop. Most infuriating to see over and over for 15 games.
