Pappanastos was 3 for 5 in the game, and he's 4 for 6 for his career. Never missed a PAT, 7 for 7. Kicks are like light switches - you bask in the glow or you scream in the dark. Performance is better viewed in its totality, not just from the frustration that follows a missed kick. Who wanted that guy Van Tiffin after his first year of 14 for 25, or his boy after the Arkansas game? One is the hero of one of our most beloved victories, and the other is our leading scorer. Griffith, the subject of so much scorn, holds up very well from a career standpoint and gets little acknowledgment for his 5 for 5 FG and 2 PATs (17 points, behind on Doyle) against aubrun to get us to the 2015 SECCG. Pappanastos is out there because the coaches believe he's our best option. He wants to be here, and I'm pulling for him. Using Griffith as a lazy punchline is unnecessary.
