Good - the win, huge relief. Hubbard’s INT and fumble created. Ty’s 4th down pass for the TD. Auburn dropping about 8 open passes. Auburn QB missing some wide open throws. Auburn’s wonderfully timed penalties.
Bad - Continually losing containment on that QB, Ty’s accuracy, Ryan Williams not getting a target, lack of downfield passing, 4-17 on 3rd downs. Offense line pass protection, which was often horrendous. Even Proctor was getting hosed and whiffing. The effort by the O-line on some plays look very lazy. Those 2 long pass plays by Auburn. Lack of any pressure on their QB, giving him all day to pass or run. Some of the hits Ty took, holy cow. We should file battery charges on their D-line after that game and jail our O-line as accomplices.
Ugly - 122 yards passing, 19-35. Longest pass play was 16 yards. Some rough penalties. Jam finally having a big game and then getting injured. Being out coached most of the game by Durkin. Letting the QB rush for 108 yards and nearly 5 yards per carry. Brooks special teams gaffes, he’s the one that missed the easy tackle in the long punt return to start the Oklahoma game. Then a terrible hit on a fair catch tonight followed by not falling in that muffed punt at the end, or keeping it in bounds. I know guy defend him for not practicing with special teams or whatever, but if that’s the case, he shouldn’t be out there in these big games playing special teams.
