šŸˆ The Good, The Bad and The Ugly vs. Aggieland

Besides the obvious….which has been discussed above

My good is - Milroe gained experience against an SEC team. Sure, he played poorly at times but some of us have to learn lessons the hard way. Let’s see if he learns anything.

My bad - inconsistent oline…secondary seemed lost at times which strikes me as odd since they are not all new to the system.

My ugly - the mental focus of the team. I think Will and Dallas and most of the front defense is keeping this together and Bryce as well, but you could tell some guys when the pressure is on and the mistakes begin..the melt.

@EasyTider did you watch the game? Quite a few great pass break-ups and deflections by the DBs yesterday. Most of their big plays were because we blitzed, a trick play, or 50/50 balls that the DBs couldn't defend but they were in position to defend. They also gave receivers a lot less separation on routes. Was pleasantly surprised by #3 developing quickly, maybe it's not that Ricks is bad, just that #3 is playing better than him right now.

from the stadium perspective

Good.... the win first and foremost
#2. The crowd was incredi....loud. Disruptive
#3. Our athletes. Bailing coaching out
#4. #1 running ball. Quick and fast

Bad. Stupid penalties. Why Nick why?????????
QB not getting rid of ball when there was no play or didnt see WIDE OPEN receivers

Ugly. Missed FGs

I agree. The way we play DB, the other team will complete some passes (all teams in all games do by the way). I thought that Kool-Aid & Arnold have both played well. A few of the A&M catches were just circus-type "pull it out of your ass" type catches - can't do much about those.

Eventually, all kickers will miss. Both were close. I still have the highest confidence in Reichard (not saying that you don't)

I still have faith in Reichard, especially after last years Auburn game, but I'm not caring as much when he's making chip shot and medium range one when it's 35-7. I mean, we need those in a game like last night. I never felt the gane qas out of hand till they got that last BS pass interference call to move it to the goal line.

Outside of the two fumbles, I did not feel Milroe played all that bad. The poor guy was running for his life and couldn't even drop back and receivers get into their breaks before A&M was in his face. Some terrible play calling almost lost this game on both sides of the ball. It took no genius to know anytime we pressured King, they had not much of a shot, but when we did not he'd pick us a part. Yet we go don't pressure late in the game seeing our offense struggle.

BOB has absolutely no idea what to do with Milroe. It's insane and not having BY to bail him out is badly exposing how incompetent he actually is. Not a Golding fan either but he was sending blitzes on A&M's last drive almost the entire drive. Pass interference and the DBs just being flat out below average almost lost it. I have no idea why teams dont just take their tallest receiver and throw jump balls all game. You're going to catch 80% of them. There is not a DB on this team that has any idea what to do when a ball is in the air.

Golding finally did figure it out, about a Half after a lot of us in the stands. They had no answer for Anderson, Turner, or Braswell when we blitzed King. His receivers made a few GREAT catches to bail him out and make this a game.

Additional thoughts.

DB's had a decent game, but the DL pressure helped them tremendously. DL pressure was awesome.

I still have a lot of faith in Reichard. Everyone misses and neither were horrible misses. He has proved himself.

Milroe was disappointing with the fumbles. Protecting the ball is something he has had plenty of time to practice. His short game is good, but his long balls seem to be consistently underthrown. Is it technique? Arm strength? I have no clue. The fumbles are correctable, but I don't know if the inability to throw long balls accurately can be fixed.

WR's still aren't consistently creating separation.

So what was up with that? I did not see the game yet planning on watching a replay but this is an anomoly. Help me understand the circumstances.
Dont know. Certainly the first was long...
#2 wasright in his range...looked good tome...but i was to side...hit net....
A mystery....where a lot of malfunctions ....just happened in samegame

Kindaof like life...seems one thing adds to the other...

But

Bama made the plays to win...

But we are so spoiled....we want to deliver crushing wins....not heart stoppers

Good- a W while playing perhaps our worst game.
Bad- Unsportsmanlike penalties, turnovers by Milroe, he started looking down at the rush and was too loose with the ball.

Ugly- officiating tried their best to give A$M the game at the end. 46 pass attempts and not one holding call!! RT jumped the snap 3-4 consecutive plays so he wouldn’t get beat by Anderson and company, Will literally was tackled on multiple plays, yet not one single flag.

Right now, IMO, Milroe is just a good athlete playing QB, not a QB who's a good athelete....I have Danny Woodson flashbacks watching him.:)

I'm going to have to disagree here. Milroe was indecisive and slow to respond during plays. His throwing motion at times is bizarre to say the least. I agree that BOB's playcalling was again horrendous. But Milroe was a liability the whole night - his fumbles were critical as was his INT. Is he really 2nd best on our roster?

Saw Aaron Suttles tweet that in the 6 games this year, opposing teams have been flagged for holding a total of 2 times!
