If we look at Allen in 2016 vs Foster in 2015, stat wise they are pretty well dead even. Right now, Allen is more efficient than Foster was in 2015.
I won't all this good, bad, or ugly. I'll label this as an observation with a question.
This isn't the first time we've heard how good a quarterback is before playing Bama. We heard it about Allen before this game. We heard it about Trickett and more than a few others. But, come Sunday morning all the warnings about how good these guys were is seemingly forgotten (or was it ignored?)
If a team can't run on Bama they've got one other option—OK, two. One, they need to pass as much as possible or two, they quit. We've seen both but let's look at the first one for this question.
Why is it when fans are warned about how good a player is, or can be, they choose to ignore that talent and would rather point to what they seen as an issue/problem? Is that not football? A play-maker making plays?
