Deboer needs a win. I feel like not one move has went his way yet.
I'd say that's not really true. He was able to retain Ryan Grubb which was a big win for him and get Jamarcus Sheppard here. Both of those guys were Bama targets at one point.Deboer needs a win. I feel like not one move has went his way yet.

He may have won that too..maybe he secretly didn’t want him..What moves haven't gone his way other than Travaris Robinson leaving for UGA?
He may have won that to… maybe he secretly didn’t want him..
Rev Hugh got forced to take Caddy and Zac, to “save the team”.. so I was wondering about CKD being in a similar situation, to keep players..He worked too hard to try and keep him for me to believe that, but, that doesn't mean that long term (or even short term) a different hire wouldn't work out better. Example: Strictly on coordinating a defense, Robinson v. Wommack? I give Wommack an edge (and that doesn't mean I think Robinson isn't good).
What's with you pulling names I've never heard ofMaybe we should call Vince Kehres for a defensive post.. formally from Mt. Union.. if T Rob is gone..

Vince Kehers is Mt Union former head coach.. He is in Toledo now, as D cord and line backer coach.. may have been a good linebacker coach for us..he runs a hybrid 4-2-5 which CKD runs..What's with you pulling names I've never heard of

Does he want to run the 4-2-5 ( hybrid) or a 3-4?..most coaches stick to their guns.. that is the confusing part here.. what does Womack run?No, different situation. DeBoer is smart enough to know he couldn't bring his entire staff, and the defensive side was the one that needed an upgrade. One of my biggest concerns on the DeBoer hire from the start (which was on the Homerun Hires thread before he was hired) was his commitment to the defensive side of the ball. I think he's showing now that he understands what he's about to be facing in the SEC week in and week out... and that's reassuring right out of the gate.
What you all think?

Please rescue him from the tarpit of Pell City.I'd love to have him on staff. He was great at UAB.
Marvin ConstantI’ve been pushing him ever since he wanted to teach bama “big dawg football”, on that video with Marvin Constant..He has very productive linebacker units..
Former Alabama DL offers to teach 'real Bama defense' to the team
An Alabama football alum wants to help this Crimson Tide defense. Nick Gentry, a native of Prattville, Ala., was a two-time BCS National Champion for the Tide. He was an undersized defensive lineman, but Gentry played with a non-stop motor. He was highly impactful for Alabama in its 2011...tdalabamamag.com
If Shula would’ve just pulled Prothro out in the third..Marvin Constant
Tyron Prothro
Gene Jelks
Terry Goode
Tim Castille
There are many who had career altering or ending injuries, wish they had benefitted from the bounty of NIL.
I understand the sentiment, but he felt it pop earlier in the game. The spiral fracture was already happening. If Shula would’ve just pulled Prothro out in the third..
I didn‘t know that. I assumed like most that it happened on that play.I understand the sentiment, but he felt it pop earlier in the game. The spiral fracture was already happening.

@Kirk Van de Graaff and I were reminiscing about this game couple weeks ago and talked about this very thing... there was some belief that some damage was done to it on a punt return earlier in the game when he took a hard hit to that part of the leg.
