So the move is:Just read from the UGA side that sources said “In order for Georgia to get Robinson they’re going to need to offer the full DC position and it’s not believed they’re going to do that because they’ll lose Schumann”.
No clue if that’s the case or not just what they said
That’s what they said anyway. Not sure how true it isSchumann?

Sounds like a win win for usSo the move is:
Trob can accept the deal and come to Bama we win
Trob goes to Georgia they turn him down (Making them the bad guys) and accepts our position we win
Trob goes to Georgia and they accept him as the new DC and play caller. Schuman then gets an interview here and an offer, we get Schumann and we win
Trob declines our offer and stays Co-DC to be near Will Muschamp (His buddy) and we interview Schumann and give him an offer. 50/50 here, we win if Schumann accepts it, we lose if he also declines.
Either way Kirby spends the next week or two having to shell out NIL money and more to keep guys and we'll get our guy one way or another.
The quote from the BOL article is correct. Their meeting was at 11:00 AM yesterday: last a long time.I understand it is a possibility, but I also tread lightly on this stuff when I see some of the more usual suspects on Twitter peddling it... But, I don't think DeBoer is giving up easily on him. He'd be a 3 part shot in the arm... continuity/stability, legitimately good coach, elite recruiter.
Multiple sources confirm that Robinson interviewed for the Crimson Tide’s defensive coordinator opening with new head coach Kalen DeBoer on Sunday. One source believes Robinson has an offer. We don’t have a timetable for a decision, but it should be soon.
The door may be closed on Travaris Robinson, but not locked
Yea and UGA guys reporting that he's in touch with Kirby right now. I had a chat with a UGA buddy/booster and supposedly Kirby and the Inner Circle are running around like ants trying to find a way to keep him in the fold over there and not let Bama poach him back. They think very highly of him and because Muschamp is stepping down (Whether Trob comes or not) they'd be stuck looking for another option to fill that position.Where there's smoke, there's fire.
What does snow do to a fire?
This T-Rob story is weird. Rusty Mansell, UGA writer, said he had signed with UGA. He's still under contract with UA. He didn't even know T-Rob was in town interviewing until someone else posted the news. I don't believe much that comes from Rusty.
Another UGA guy is saying he's in Athens today.
THis is weird. I don't understand why Robinson would allow this to continue this long. I hope he make decision today.Where there's smoke, there's fire.

It hasn't been 24 hours since he met with DeBoer, he has to discuss it with his family and hear UGA's counter-offer. It's a life-changing decision for him, it could be career defining and it could boost his career forever or end it. The man needs some time to discuss things and think it over.THis is weird. Dude.... how is it a life changing decision? Dude has been on several times since 2021. What are you talking about? So it's a life changing to go to Georgia and become a Co-DC with Schumann and not have the ability to control defense completely? he has worked for several prominent coaches in various roles. I doubt it'll boost career forever or end it. That's not how he would look at it. The offer he has by KD is significant better than Georgia... It's more of what he wants at this point. What does he want to be in few years? HC? NFL? What's the long term path for him? If he wants HC, then take the KD offer. It's little quicker and more defined. Do well and he's likely be a HC next year somewhere. Go to Georgia, and He'll have to wait a year or 2. or Take DC job somewhere. It hasn't been 24 hours since he met with DeBoer, he has to discuss it with his family and hear UGA's counter-offer. That is what I would have expected honestly. He got that far with Smart and UGA hard to turn that around. With that said does anyone know if he even talked to CKD before talking to Smart? If not that is what I would have had the bigger issue with. CKD needs some wins on this coaching and recruiting side of things. Seems like he has on the offensive side of the ball but not yet on D and securing some of the big time guys yet.It looks like he's likely to stay with Georgia... but that's being reported by Georgia side.

Travaris Robinson sticking with Kirby an UGA was always the most likely scenario... I think some that were reporting him back to UA as a sure thing or even a near sure thing, were out over their skis (probably for clicks and attention).
Kane Wommack's name has been floating around since DeBoer was hired. I don't know enough to say now that he'd be the next choice, or if he'd even take it (though I'm told by someone very familiar with USA football that he likely would)... but I do think he's a very legitimate candidate. Among other things, I like that he's had a taste of the SEC, very familiar with the south and recruiting in this area, and has a familiarity with DeBoer. Oh, he's also a pretty damn good young coach.
So Robinson is considered a Co-DC with Schumann? That can't make Schumann happy, unless he is just a major team player.
