| FTBL Alabama football coaching staff changes and updates...

Kirby is the DC at UGA. He is way more hands on that Nick ever was. TRob will be a highly paid recruiter with a great job description.
Fixed it for you, Trob will be a glorified recruiter with an on-field coaching position. Kirby also likes to handle the DBs...kinda like some of these transfers Trob just made a huge mistake and probably will realize it sooner than later.

Cowboy it is going to get way worse than it is today. A coaching change is always a clusterfeck but now with the portal and NIL it is the same as the death penalty minus being shut down

Nick would have been wise to have to keep his mouth shut and continued coaching. Then in July made the announcement that this would be is last year. The AD would have plenty of time. The roster could sort it out as well and new recruits would have known what to do in December. You might trade a 8-4 season for 2024 doing this route or a 7-5 season going this route.

There was no good time for Saban to step aside... it was going to be a clusterfuck regardless, just a matter to what degree. But, he would never, ever, agree to a farewell tour type deal where everyone knows he's leaving. Just not his way.... for the same reasons he isn't going to be an uninvited guest around DeBoer's daily activities. But DeBoer and the staff will just have to manage this transition period as best they can... so far, it seems they are doing pretty well considering the outside pressure being put on many of these players to leave.

Y'all are probably being a little hard on Robinson... He's going to a top 2 program with a staff he's comfortable with (he could have had the auburn DC job or a number of other jobs). He's going to be ok. Alabama will also be ok.
After watching Freeze went scorch earth on all the previous Auburn guys and hearing what I am about that. I don't think it was actually on the table for the DC role there.

Freeze wants all his guys in place not these ex Auburn guys.

I don't think Robinson is a bad coach at all, I think he just made a mistake. He wants to be on a staff with his friend and mentor Muschamp and he knows the guys. That's great, but like I did say, he's essentially just a recruiter on that staff.

He could've been much more here. Kevin Steele gave him high praise going into the CFP game and until Saban retired I felt like he was honestly a lock to be Co-DC at worst here. Oh well, what could've been for him here is no more now.

"If they aren't in Crimson..fuck em"

😂 Stop always making perfect sense. But seriously, regardless of who Alabama hired, there were going to be good coaches and players leave. I would not call 24 a lost season, but people are going to have to realize that it's going to take a season or two to get his staff the way he wants and get acclimated to the recruiting aspect.

I would like to know if Nick was trying to hire a WR coach and OLB or was he looking for a DC before he tossed in the towel and said F it.

Some of the ex-auburn guys are worth having around, unlike a couple that he'd been saddled with. It was strongly suggested to him that he get Charles Kelly and/or Travaris Robinson last year... he failed. This go around, he was reminded of that. He got Kelly quickly. In fairness to him, he supposedly wanted Robinson regardless of pressure or suggestions, for a variety of reasons. With Saban out of the picture, based on some of the reasons those guys were pushed on him, I'm sure the pressure to Robinson lessoned... but he'd take him. That I'm sure of.

Check this article out from yesterday…Says LB coach Inge, DC Morrell, ST coach Schmidt and CB coach Brown have arrived. Funny how this is the only source.

FWIW, a lot of their stuff is AI generated articles.... same thing SI got busted for a few weeks ago.
