That is what I would like to know or will he have any input on the hiring?

Grubb is the QB coach who worked with Penix at Washington he does OC/QB so we should be good there.

LB I'm thinking
Durkin or Bala

S
Morrell

Db
Not sure.

We got 3 spots left basically and even though it'd be nice to have OLB and ILB coaches I think you're going to have to bring those together or you'll have to do a Db and Safeties coach.

😂 Stop always making perfect sense. But seriously, regardless of who Alabama hired, there were going to be good coaches and players leave. I would not call 24 a lost season, but people are going to have to realize that it's going to take a season or two to get his staff the way he wants and get acclimated to the recruiting aspect.
How long did it take him to get his staff the way he wanted and get acclimated to recruiting when he took over the UW job?

When he got off the plane with Morgan was a MAJOR win...without stepping foot on campus.
The losses outweigh the good from my limited perspective but that may just be part of this transition.

Losses = Niblack, Bond, Amos, high profile recruit decommitments, not able to land T-Rob

Wins= Morgan, OC, WR Coach, keeping Roach and Gillespie, maybe a decent DC (?)

I’m still worried about the recruiting ability of this staff as a whole.

Bond isn't a loss. Amos is chasing money. Niblack hasn't committed to anyone, yet.

Calling "not being able to land T-Rob" as a loss? In my opinion, you are jumping to a conclusion.

As I posted the other day the interview lasted a long time. In my view, that means they were talking about scheme. There's a good chance the two just didn't meet eye to eye. If DeBoer lands Wommack? It's an upgrade. You'll LOVE his fire on the sidelines.

Why?

You need to look at the structure being built. Have you noticed who's been tagged on every offer?

The football program is going through a significant change. I know I keep saying this. Essentially, Saban built an NFL franchise and DeBoer, with Morgan, have come in as new management.

I have NO doubt about how they will maneuver the portal along with what the name Alabama brings to recruiting. I've spent a few hours reading/researching Morgan. He's a fuckin' stud recruiting.
