🏈 The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

The irony is... As I pointed out to you... The call you wanted to blame on the S/T's coach was Saban's responsibility.

And you're both just criticizing coaches. Big deal, it's a football forum.

Well ultimately everything comes down to Saban, so that's just an easy arguement. I still hold true that the special teams coach should have been ready when Auburn had the ball on 1st down knowing time was an issue and if the opportunity came it would be his number called to make sure his guys were on the field. Saban answers for Sarkesian too if you want to make that point as well.

On top of that, special teams has been lacking for a while. Agree? So why does he deserve to keep his job?

The Good: Waddle, Mac Jones (With Little Starting Experience), Najee Harris
The Bad: For the life of me I cannot understand why we cannot recruit a kicker that can consistently make a 30 yard field goal.
The Ugly: This one is easy. Forty five points is enough to win. Allowing so many 40+ point games in one season is un_Bama. We need some new coaching talent on the defensive side of the field.

#10 made some mistakes but with even a decent defensive team he would have been a winner today. How in the hell can you be this bad on defense?

Fair points - But when it comes down to 2 different "coordinators" deciding who's on the field.... I'm not splitting the blame between coordinators if you catch my drift.

Well, I can understand that. I actually added to my comment about struggling special teams for years. Waddle is just good, nothing to do with coaching, so our only bright spot is just a killer athlete.

On the bright side, all of these comments show that we don't "settle" for less than winning it all. When we stop getting pissed about losing a game, then I guess we can swap over to the Barn side. Listening to the sh** that's going to come our way makes it extra tough. I guess I will defend my coach though. He's brought us more success that any other team can claim. I just get a little pissed when it seems that we, as fans, don't see that and are ready to sh**can the guy after two losses ……..

Nick Saban knows better than anybody in this house that he has problems at Alabama to resolve. No way does he want to ride off into the sunset with 10-2 and 9-3 seasons. He will make some changes in his staff again but he will shake the tree in his roster come spring. There is too much Me in Titletown and not enough us. He has made good use of the path to the NFL goes thru Bama but that has cost him.

I would bet on him, not against him!

This shit was embarrassing. Can't wait to see Oklahoma drop 60 on this pile of trash defense in a bowl game that no matter cares about and half the team doesn't play in. Alabama did not deserve to win this game and 100% doesn't deserve to be anywhere near a playoff discussion. Embarrassing is the best description for this pathetic football team. Congrats Saban, you got outcoached by the biggest goof in college football. EMBARRASSING.
This now makes 2 out of 3 that we have dropped to the barn. The only way this could have been worse would have been if the game had been in Tuscaloosa. Losing to these jerk offs is bad enough but the thought of them winning in T Town is beyond sickening. Hopefully we can avenge this next season when its our turn to host the game. But.... something on defense has got to change. Starting with the firing of Golding

Intriguing dynamic with Bama football and it has always been that way, how you play matters regardless of the outcome. Even if they pulled that game out most bama fans would not have been ok because of how the team played.

This is a dynamic that most programs miss and is par for the course for the Barn. They do not see how bad their team and coach really are because they beat Bama.... I see a lot of post on social media mainly from barners about how great of a game it was. Not it wasn't. It was a horrible game and not played well by either team.

To give up 48m points to anybody is a joke. I mean a big joke. Hell Colorado beat Bama in 69 47-33 but it wasn't that close. Tonight was a joke. Coach Bryant had allowed recruiting to slip. Nick has #1 classes on his roster.

"2 out of 6" Fixed it for you.

Still, I hate to see an opponent go all out playing to win and our team playing not to lose (just like against LSU) - Ironically, that's when you make the most mistakes. The two pick sixes were extremely damaging and there it no rational reason to downplay that fact. Still, this is one of the worst defenses under Saban's tenure and it has been all season. Sure we have had key injuries, but whatever happened to Raekwan Davis??? Terrell Lewis??? Our pass rush??? Our third down defense??? How about, what was it, 15 penalties??? Do we suddenly have a team of entitled prima donnas??? Where is the "hungry"???

I expect to see some real changes this offseason both on the staff and on the roster.

PS - it is indeed pathetic to see yet another Bama kicker miss from 30 yards. But worse is to be in a position to need those points.

Cecil Hurt telling the story

Where was Juedy tonight? One of the top WRs in football. 26 yards? We’re they on him like a Snuggie? I didn’t get to watch the game.

No, he had a couple of drops but Mac was really in tune with Waddle and Ruggs. I mean hell Smith had almost 100 yards, too. Not really fair to say "where was Jeudy" when three others were dismantling their secondary. Jeudy having an "off" game didn't cost us this game. Mac Pic Six throwing two unbelievably awful interceptions (to be fair, he had some unbelievable throws, too), a defense that can't stop a runny nose and unbelievably pathetic penalties (the false starts were mind boggling) cost us this game.
