🏈 The Good, The Bad and The Ugly vs. Washington

I guess Alabama Mike is AWOL today. Hope you don't mind, sir!

Good: BO! BO! BO! You can't have BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM without BO! Suffocating defense, too

Bad: Penalties. Regardless of how horrible this crew was, there were still too many careless errors. Including the ones at the end of the game.

Ugly: The aforementioned officials. They killed one drive with that phantom (calling it that til someone can clearly explain it to me) call on Forristall and then the delay. Wasn't there a second left on the clock? I don't think it was a flat :00 yet.

Good: defense was phenomenal. Bo finally healthy and confident

Bad: really poor outing for the officiating crew. They were in above their heads. Jalen was down right terrible with his decision making in the run game and lack of decisiveness in the pass game.

Ugly: unsportsmanlike conduct penalties and Washington being chippy all game.

Good: Bo and the defense.

Bad: Offensive line. Couldn't block and penalized like crazy.

Ugly: Kiffin and his play calling. This was such a piss poor offensive game for us that I never knew what we were trying to do. I mean, it looked like he was trying to get Hurts injured with the number of times he ended up with the ball and scheduled runs. It was a completely awful called game offensively.

Good: Defense, Bo
Bad: Drive killing penalties, sloppy play
Ugly: All the unsportsmanlike, un-BAMA like play at the end of the game. I get that a lot of it was retaliation, still ugly.

Gotta give credit to Washington's defense. They kept them it for way longer than I thought they would. They good.

A bit off topic but anybody else wondering about team and too much 'talk'. I realize that the unsportsmanlike penalties late were teammates taking issue with some questionable (cheap)shots.

However, last week it was OJ and AuBarn asking us to let up and now tonight Alabama star Jonathan Allen doesn't hold back in calling Washington 'soft' - CBSSports.com

Is media wanting to make us the evil empire or do we need to STFU? I'm guessing media is baiting us because seems out of character for OJ and JA not to mention a Saban coached team.

Adding fuel to the fire, our captains didn't shake hands at the coin toss.

No, they shook before toss. After everything was determined the official at last moment told captains to shake (again) but we had already headed to sideline. One Husky got left looking lost. Official conducting coin toss thought he was Ryan Secrast.

I thought we sand-bagged on offense tonight. I could be wrong, but we went conservative throughout the second half.

I would tend to agree with you. We didn't see any of the Jet Sweep passes or zone read RPOs. I did see a new wrinkle or two with CRob pulling and blocking up inside, one of the 3rd quarter penalties that we amassed in succession.
