šŸˆ The Good, The Bad and The Ugly vs. viles

Good—-historic beat down of the Vols (most points the Tide ever scored against them). New punter was excellent.

Bad—-defense gave up two TDs to Voks backup QB, who slung the ball all over the field. Lots of missed tackles. Mack kicked the ball out of bounds by trying to scoop and score, instead of falling on the ball and ending the drive.

Ugly—Tua getting pounded into the turf and being helped off the field, and Jalen’s pick six.

Good: 12 years, most points v. UTurd, and Tua coming onto the field to congratulate Jalen after his TD run, walk-on punter's effort

Bad: most of the lackadaisical second quarter

Ugly: $hithead UTurd fan who threw a drink on Coach Saban

Bad- Letting the 2rd string QB scoring drive!
Bad...allowing the backup QB to make 3rd and long time and time again
Come on, now.

The guy started 14 games at Stanford, winning 11, and you're upset he had a good game? He did lose his starting job last year to Costello after Love went out with his injury. He wasn't a running threat when Stanford didn't have a running back.

Bad - Gary suggesting Bama kicks a FG versus score a TD

I believe that was meant to be tongue in cheek. It's probably a case of Nessler's sense of humor--which is horrid--beginning to rub off on him.

Is that starting at Stanford supposed to carry weight? I am just asking due to TenBears...He is still pissed at the snowflakes for going with a tree instead of the Indians.

Pathetic. Someone should whoop his ass. I'd have given that dude an earful, regardless of who he threw the ice on. No reason to act like that.

I had some drunk ass Bama fan at the Rose Bowl do something similar to a Texas friend of mine. I about lost it.

Good:
-Passing game was super dynamic. Crazy to think 19-29 didn't seem as efficient as other games simply because Tua missed like 2 open dudes... lol. But that throw to Waddle was amazing. Ruggs made a terrific catch. Irv Smith is becoming a special weapon that makes us unguardable.

-Josh Jacobs all around game is spectacular. As noted in the game thread - might want to enjoy him while we got him. He has the most NFL upside.

-2 guys stood out to me on D... Moses and Shy Carter. Both guys I was concerned about early in the season but today they both played great ball. Shy got off a block and forced a fumble, Moses was super quick to the ball.

-D Line play was impressive. Just beat down Getmo. Q Williams is absolutely the most disruptive DL we've had with Saban... He just lives in the backfield, forces penalties, and has even stood up in the run game. Just a great player

-Leatherwood and Jonah seem to kick even more ass than usual today....

-PUNTING. Hell yes! Happy for that kid!

Bad:
-Eh, all relative in an ass whipping like this. But I'd say there were some pretty big holes in our zone. Still having some issues with DB's getting caught up in traffic... But hell, I thought the backup QB looked great. He should be starting right? Maybe Pruitt playing the long game at QB...

-Savion Smith did struggle a little bit today... I've heard the idea that Saban doesn't want these guys looking for the ball, whether that's true or not it didn't help SS today. Hoping it's a good learning experience

Ugly:
-???? Could've gotten real ugly, but Saban likes Pruitt. Kind of sucks for the backups to come in and only run the same play over and over again... Sure they want to play ball but the Tua effect impacts EVERYONE. lol

At least I'm not the only one that always ignores the "one thing per category" deal lol

GOOD: Offense continues to hum and put up historic numbers. Tua was incredible as always. Not bad for a guy that just had surgery on Sunday lol Seriously though. He had some high throws that I would probably suggest is a result of the discomfort he still has with the knee but seemed to move around well and dude has brass balls.
O-Line kept his pocket clean for the most part all day. Defense was dominant for the majority of the game, except for a brief point late in the first half where it seemed like they just got too relaxed. Pass rush was relentless.
Seeing a punter kick it farther than 20 yards was nice for a change.
Josh Jacobs getting the start and playing a hell of a game.

BAD: That lull in the second quarter of three straight three-and-outs. That is not good any week but if that happens against a team that can make a defense pay that keeps getting thrown back on the field quickly, it could certainly be a problem.
The pick six was pretty bad but kudos to Lox going right back to the same play and making sure Jalen's confidence doesn't take a hit. He looked good in very limited action, too.

UGLY: That sequence of pretty much just running the clock out inside their 20. Just score, man. I know Pruitt is your boy but it's Tennessee.
