Good: I think our kick return game was pretty good. Latu and how smart and hard he plays
Bad: southern miss's kick coverage
Ugly: our backups need to step it up but I do have confidence that real time playing time will help

Good- A LOT of good… Bryce was really, really sharp and continues to impress with his ability. The offense had things they wanted to work on and accomplish and did most of it really well (even if it was against a weak defense). Latu is a smooth operator. Jameson Williams- 4 touches, 258 yards, 3 TD’s.


Bad- The defense still getting abused a bit by the TE in the passing game. Fix the glitch, Pete. Still
Some areas to clean up on offense, like the screen game.


Ugly- The USM defense. A very ungood group of defenders.

Good- Not very many balls hit the ground in the passing game. Young was extremely sharp today.
Bad- A few blown coverages where nobody was around the receiver (RB and TE).
Ugly- Special teams penalties that negated a couple of nice punt returns from Earle.

Good- efficient and deadly on offense. Limited pre-snap penalties. We looked as if CNS got his message across!!
Bad- couple of holding/block in the back penalties negated some good returns for Earle in the punt game.
Ugly- concession stands running out of food!

Good - Bryce looked really good throwing the deep ball... Should come in handy down the road. Kick returns were obviously impressive with JW as well. Appeared to avoid serious injury... Hopefully big Tim Smith is alright.

Bad - TE coverage. He was pretty good though

Good - JB having a huge day. We really need him to be involved going forward.
Bad - ILB still not what they need to be. HT especially is slow to react and out of position often.
Ugly - John Metchie stat line; 7 catches, 45 yards. Why are we struggling so much to get him the ball downfield? I really thought he would have a breakout season. He's too talented to not be a main part of our offense. I'm hoping he will shine against Ole Miss this next weekend.

Good- The running game was on point, Bryce Young is remarkably accurate & efficient. Much less penalties. Williamson's Return game was good & ugly then good... Oh & we have a badass head coach who has the pulse of the team plus he knows how to get these guys better. I'm glad he's our coach.
Bad- Southern Miss is really a bad team. But their two drives were basically about attacking the middle of the field where our two ILB roam.
Ugly- The interception that Williamson created from the bounce off his chest from what would've been a TD for him. Are these guys surprised when Bryce hits them right on the numbers?

Your "Ugly" comment is spot on. And they're going to get burned by that even more if they don't learn to cover the middle and not leave the TE wide open. Because I guarantee you other teams/coaches are watching our games to see where our weaknesses are.
