🏈 The Good, The Bad and The Ugly vs. UK

Good- settled down and came back and played well.

Bad- that we didn't get more reps for more players in the 4th, game was secure after3.

Ugly- some of the series called by CLK, especially in the first half.

GOOD: A: Jacobs, a freshman trying to play like a future first round junior. B: Tim Williams making the most of the playing time he had tonight.

BAD: Whiny fans who will never be happy that we aren't up 70 - 0 in the first quarter every game...No freshman should play like he's a freshman...Jiminy... :eyeroll:

UGLY: Meh... I guess you can say that some players were sleepwalking through a vanilla game plan, but a vanilla game plan helped UK in the first half. By the time Bama won both LOS, UK was done.

I will go with this one!

Good Bama won the game

Bad to the bone Tim W. and friends

Ugly Us as fans not giving a true freshman a chance he leading the No#1 team to how many victory ?

This is starting to get REALLY annoying. You can tell which fans became fans around Nov.-Jan. '09 and when this run eventually tapers off which ones will be jumping ship. We are so spoiled right now that its ridiculous too.

Good- we should be full strength going to Fayetteville. A. Stewart got another game to recover so surely he will be 100% next week? His return should be huge for Hurts. Also, Harris didn't get too much work and should be better for Hogs.

Completely agree. Was really surprised to see the starters in with 5 mins in the 4th quarter. The idea had to be to get Bateman reps with the all the other 1's just in case... Because we were still passing. But can't think of a better time to get backups ready.

The good: We won. Jalen in the second half.

The bad: Offense the first half.

The nasty: That defense is down right NASTY.

The ugly: How some of you people flame others for having an opinion other than yours and what's really ugly is stating that those same people are not true fans. A few may not be but, I know, that the majority on this board are true fans. All of the posts, in the live game thread, are not always a well thought out post and mostly their observation or opinion at that moment in time and as such isn't a true measure of their fanship. After all, a lot if the posts are during an emotional time because most everyone on this board have proven they love the tide. I know I'm wasting my breath, or time really, because a few of you will always find something to piss and moan about.

Good: Another Bama win and we came out healthy!
Bad: Slow out of the gate and missing on the deep ball early.
Ugly: A bit sloppy at times and me when I looked in the mirror to shave this morning.....

I have proudly been a fan longer than many (not all) on this board have been alive. I go back to the Joe Namath era when I was in elementary school.
ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!!

Come on Bama family WE ALL BLEED CRIMSON!!!

I missed most of this game due to a prior engagement that I could not talk the wife out of (damn UT girls) so from what I saw via my Directv ap before the battery died....

Good: Victory
Bad: O line early
Ugly: Nothing really stood out but then again, I didn't see it all and was partially distracted.

On a separate note, has anyone seen Jalen smile this year? It is almost like he has Nick's persona of seriousness about him mixed with Jay Cutler's aloofness. Not that I am complaining because he is young and playing great football and will only get better, I just wonder if there is an undercurrent of something else or am I being paranoid??? Some of you guys are down there and have a much better feel than I do so enlighten me please

Jalen just has ice water in his veins, thays all. Cool, calm, and steady.

I think we see why Bo isn't playing more, running right into Jalen's throwing arm on that first fumble. That was ugly. Seems like he just has trouble grasping certain concepts.

I think it was a Ms. State game in '11 or '12, can't quite remember the year. But, I sat next to a Northridge teacher in BDS. I brought up Bo, and she said "He's not the sharpest knife in the drawer. He's probably going to have trouble qualifying."

Ouch.

I think that could be said about a lot of players across the country, like 50% i bet

The problem, as it appears to me, is that some fans get caught up wearing crimson shades 24/7. In their minds there is no room for criticism or differing opinions. Which is funny on two fronts: 1) Bama has a coach that demands excellence, if not perfection, at all times and 2) if their opinion on football was the end all be all they'd be on a staff somewhere getting paid big money.

Good- Another win headed toward our goal. No injuries headed into the meat of the schedule.

Bad- The flow or lack of flow of the game in the first half. There just wasn't alot of energy flowing through the stadium or team.

Ugly- Any OT trying to block Ryan Anderson or Tim Williams!! Buy those guys some roller skates!!! Through 5 games, it looks like their coaches have already used Gorilla Glue on their hands, by the lack of holding calls I've seen but Tim and Ryan keep on pushing!!!

In thinking back, the criticism of first year starter A. J. McCarron in 2011 was nothing like what we have seen of Hurts so far. A.J. had some rough moments, and he had been through a red shirt season and a season as McElroy's back up before earning the starting position. Hurts has missed some throws and some reads on pass routes- so what. He is learning as he goes, and will only get better. We can be certain that our staff sees far more than the obvious things we pick up on TV, and we can be certain that they will work on correcting those reads and techniques that need correcting. I for one say let's lighten up on the criticism and be higher on the encouragement.

Well spoke.
