šŸˆ The Good, The Bad and The Ugly vs. UGA

I agree with you on that. As a defensive coordinator you have to know that the running back is going to take advantage by using his speed to go deep. One would think we would slide the corner out, and take our lumps with a second or third read over the middle. Yes, a bad matchup, but I'd take a short dump over the middle rather than a potential game changing deep pass for six. Atleast if it's over the middle the linebacker has help with a receiver once the other guys see where the ball is, and if we can get pressure that second or third read may never get a pass off. Who knows, but I still felt that was a matchup we need to work on in the future. Especially with a team like Georgia that really only has one proven target in Pickens, although Burton played better.

I think it's pick your poison. Not all RBs can run a 50 yard go route and execute smoothly like a WR. Harris didn't cover that well, and timed his jump wrong.

Maybe more zone coverage is needed? Seems to be working for Arkansas and not one of their players on D would be recruited at Alabama.

Obviously Harris was not put in a great spot there...

But at the same time, how does he not have some "ballplayer" sense that this dude is much faster than him, so he'd better retreat a hell of a lot faster from jump?

Just kind of common sense stuff IMO.

I understand. I'm sure he was taught to play up, and not give the guy a ten yard buffer. They probably told him to get his hands on the guy as well.

Okay, okay. I didn't say blowing up "passing records". I just said, "blowing up" and "working his way into the 1st round" as possibly the third best QB draft prospect in college football this season. It's arguable he's playing better than that.

Just as a side note for those who we see polishing Trevor's nob. In his career, Lawrence has thrown for 400+ one time in his career. Once. We've seen it three times this season alone with Mac.
Think Mac's gone after this season?

It's funny how things work out. I thought Mac was just an afterthought once Tua committed. I'm amazed at how well he has developed, beyond any reasonable expectations. I like it when I am proven so very wrong in these situations. I'm ignoring Pro sports overall, but I do check to see how the Bama guys in the pros are doing. Derrick Henry still amazes me. I just hope Mr. Young is absorbing and applying all that he should be learning, as I do not expect Mac to be at Bama next year (and I won't mind if I'm wrong there either).

ROLL TIDE!
