🏈 The Good, The Bad and The Ugly vs UF

Good- 25th SEC Championship Derrick Henry rewriting the SEC record book.

Bad- The BAMA D is EXTRA SALTY!!!

Ugly- watched the game yesterday and listened to Verne and Gary on the kick that hit one of the TV cables. HELL, I was 18 rows up in that end of the upper deck and I knew it hit the cable. The damn replay showed it deflecting from down the hash and just inside the pylon. Those two claimed, it hit nothing and then on the next kick, claim, it did the exact same thing!!

The Good: The defense. I'll let one jump ball go and other than that they had a great outing.

The Bad: Not turning field position into more points. Say what you want, but we had more than enough opportunities to not go into Halftime 12-7.

The Ugly: I gotta go with the pass blocking of the offensive line. I just feel as if Coker can never set his feet and throw on a consistent basis and is hurried a lot.

Right. I'm saying their defensive stats were much higher than their season average back when they had an offense, and much lower after they lost their QB
IF, IF we're on the same page here ...

UF, when they had Will still under Center, was allowing right at 300 per game. In their last six games, around 270 per game. So, yes, the numbers they allowed on defense are indeed smaller in the last half of the season versus the first.

That last half of the season didn't have teams like New Mexico State or East Carolina. But, the statistics from that first half of the season are worse than the second.

Bama put up 437 yards on offense. That's 140 more than they averaged in the first half of the season, or right at 170 more than the second half of the season.

Either way we choose to look at this the offense did very well against this Florida defense. It wasn't a "Florida offensive performance circa 2014" by any means. It was a very workmanlike, wear 'em down offensive approach.

One, if I might add, I really like seeing.

Right. I'm saying their defensive stats were much higher than their season average back when they had an offense, and much lower after they lost their QB. You were using their year averages to prove that we did well on offense, but compare our offensive performance to FSU and you get a different story.
I'm saying, with how much our defense dominated, and how much possession we had, and how many plays we ran, and the great starting field position, etc, it's pretty sad that our offense only managed 27 points. I think if you accounted for time of possession and number of plays, we probably fared worse than most of their opponents' offenses all year

In other words you had no idea what you were talking about.

The Good: 1) The SEC placed a bag in front of each of our seats. In that bag was pork jerky. I kid you not. Pork jerky. Now that was good.
2) The new fashion in and around Atlanta is women wearing tights as pants. I kid you not. Tights for pants. Now, that was good.
3) "Sweet Home Alabama" after the game on some of the most awesome speakers known to man. Blasting! I kid you not, it was some of the loudest music I've ever heard. Now that was good.
4) Finding a free place to park and the truck still being there, intact, when we returned. No vandalism or theft. Saved $40. That that was good.
5)Having plenty of leg room when the Florida fans departed in the fourth quarter. I kid you not. I'm saying, "Really good."
6)The pep rally at the Fanfare. The Million Dollar Band. The majorettes. The cheerleaders. Now that was good.
7) Having my older son with me to watch the game and remembering me and my father going to the first SEC Championship game. I can't tell you how good that was.

The Bad: Having to wait a month for another game.

The Ugly: Oh man, the jokes are so ripe for this I can't pick one. Maybe this: I wish the Tide had won by even more.
