🏈 The Good, The Bad and The Ugly vs the u

Good- Bryce... Far exceeded my expectations. Miami threw a lot at him. Being prepared for it is one thing, and he was. Going out in your first start and executing against it is another. He did that too.

Bad- Chris Allen being added to the Broken Foot U list.

Ugly- Lashlee and Miami thinking a QB keeper on the goal line from shotgun was a good idea on 4th and goal.

Good: We looked good everywhere. Golding aced his first test of the season. Reichard's 51 yarder.

Bad: Felt like we toyed with them a little too much. Could have been 65-3, easily.

Ugly: Gameday outfits by so many girls at the game (on the Alabama side). Very unflattering and cheap looking. Miami fans just looked like they walked up after a pickup football/basketball game.

GOOD- First half pure dominance except for the last minute or so of the half.
BAD- OL Run blocking was inconsistent but it is exactly what CNS has been saying.
UGLY- injuries. Hate to see the season ending type in the first game. The D can be nasty but a bunch of injuries could derail it.

Another observation - the WR group had a drop off in terms of explosiveness but that was expected due to their inexperience. Hard to replace the group we have had the last three years. This group will get better just gotta keep getting snaps. We need a Waddle type to emerge on offense and the return game. Need the playmaker that causes the opponents DC's sphincter muscle to tighten up just thinking about defending them.

Good...of course a win then the play of #9 at QB. He showed those quick feet (as he did in the spring game) and the ability too drift away from pressure and then make a play. He was spot on in his selection of the receiver for the most part. TE #81 looked pretty good for a OLB that couldn't get on the field. He has good hands and agility. Kicking game was solid but I have no idea why Nick puts #19 back to return kickoffs.

Bad....injury to #10 and #4. I believe we have some options at replacing #4.

Ugly.....me

Good:
-Pass rush was dominant. King never really got comfortable, and it came from all angles. Edge rushers, inside push, even ILB's.
-Will Anderson is such a problem. Keep this man healthy and I can't believe we get to watch him another 25 games or so...
-Speaking of ILB's - Harris & Henry are everywhere.
-Bryce is a cool customer... Really mature for his age. Love how he keeps his eyes downfield and look forward to watching him develop both as a passer and runner
-RB's looked good. BRob is much smoother and Sanders way bigger and more powerful than I expected. McLelan probably the most likely to be special but I still think Roydell will be heard from. Little blip on the radar with the fumble will help him in the long run.
-PLAY CALLING. It looked/felt like O'Brien had a great feel for what Bryce was comfortable with. After a couple years of watching Sark effortlessly cruise through his game plans, it was cool to see BO do his thing as well.
-Last but certainly not least - FG kicking. When a guy doesn't miss for a year +, it's easy to take for granted.... He's really a good kicker.

Bad:
-Aint got much... wasn't too impressed with the punting, but hopefully 1st game jitters
-Quite a few penalties
-No JOJO on punt returns?!? Boooo

Ugly:
-Obviously the Chris Allen injury. He was in line to have a huge season playing off Anderson on the other edge. I feel good about Sanders & Braswell, but let's hope it's just a 1 off and not a trend.
