🏈 The Good, The Bad and The Ugly vs. OU

Good: Bama wins. Tua back to doing Tua things. Ball spread around nicely, Jalen looked good too.

Bad: Officiating. I hate complaining about the refs, but can anyone explain the "illegal procedure" against Wills that took a touchdown off the board to me? Also, why does the Bama defense never get holding calls in their favor? Why were the OU dbs allowed to hold and interfere the BAMA receivers all night?

Ugly: Penalties. Whether it was nerves or just plain stupidity (see Raekwon Davis' dumb ass antic) they need to be more disciplined. This is one of the most undisciplined teams, especially on defense, that I've seen under Saban at BAMA.

Good: Offense except for one drive.
Bad: #2 had a rough game.
Ugly: team did not keep their cool throughout the game but especially when Raekwon Davis took his helmet off. Ridiculous.

Good-Win... we coulda scored more if we wanted to score quicker. Smart decision to use clock.

Bad- mental mistakes. No reason for those at all.

Ugly- the Refs... they were only there to break up fights. Other than that, they were usless.

good: WE WON

bad: inconsequential

ugly: also inconsequential

all that matters to me is the score at the end of the game (well, that and the injuries)
stats don't matter...only the score when the clock hits 0:00

Good - the offense kept control of the game, despite goof ups. Tua was mobile, and accurate. I thought the RBs did a great job, and the O-line was good, if not great. We could have hurt OU a bunch more but I am sure Saban asked Locksley to take the air out.

Bad - Kicking game - Jeff Banks for Special Teams coach of the Year, by ANYONE????? are you kidding? Can't get his kicker to kick it in the end zone consistently. Robinson jumps in front of Jacobs AND calls a fair catch at the 21!!! Everyone missed the idea of covering the 2nd onside kick. K Anderson popping a guy late on a freaking kickoff???!!!! Bad lane discipline on several kickoffs. Our punters are just not good...... should I go on??????

Ugly - undisciplined defense - they knew Murray throws balls up for grabs deep when the pocket breaks down, but Sartain can't turn his head around? Mack has a guy dead to rights in the flat on 3rd down and tries to hit him HIGH, resulting in a 1st down, and commits to the wrong hole at the goal line, leading to a touchdown? Later he gives them a first and goal with a ridiculous hands to the face!!! Moses horse collars Murray when all he needed to do was push him? R Davis bitching at a ref AND taking his helmet off when he didn't think he got the sack, when he actually DID get the sack - a 25 yard turn around???!!!! Seriously??? I can tell you guys this - R Davis and M Wilson may be THINKING about going pro, but they both need another year of polish, for sure.

Good - The game went about as good as it possibly could have in the first quarter. I dont think you could possibly have a better start to the game. And the offense was unbelievable all night except for a few mistakes that made them stub their toes some.

Bad - So many mistakes at key moments, whether it be unbelievably stupid penalties (I'm looking at you Wills) or mental errors on defense like missed tackles (looking at you Mack) or misalignments or losing composure. Defense also got super gassed in the second half. Cant play like that defensively against Clemson and win.

Ugly - Holy crap Oklahoma's defense is pathetic.
Also throwing Surtain in there, good grief he had a terrible game. I have no idea how he was still playing in he fourth quarter. He was absolutely abused.

Good: Tua performed open heart surgery on the sooners without the anesthesia.

Bad: These refs made the 3 blind mice look like a seeing eye canine.

Ugly: My goodness, we are still getting disemboweled with simple dink passes over the middle. Where are our LBers and safeties this season?

Ok fans complained about officiating also....

Good.. Training staff for getting Tua back to near normal.

Bad... Mental mistakes especially nearing the half... We could have buried them mentally.

Ugly... Same as first but letting the mental mistakes causing a loss of focus from one play to the next. Practically a fist fight every play.

Good - Tua and the O. 24/27 4 TD's.... so nice to have potent offense to answer the Oklahoma TD's. Skill guys made some great catches, RB's ran pretty well. Good game plan, etc. It was nice to see Beluvos make a FG too! We will need a couple vs Clemson. Cotton seemed to play pretty well which was awesome!

Bad - I was disappointed in the pass rush. After that first drive there wasn't many issues for Murray in the pocket. The penalties were a huge disappointment... Both sides of the ball. Tackling was a bit rusty too, but honestly I didn't expect our D to ball out. Just not the same D as in years past, especially in the secondary.

Ugly - I'd just say mental mistakes. Maybe to be expected after a month off... But between the Wills, Davis, kickoff return issues... Live and learn. Much better to learn from a win than a loss though! RTR

Adding to the ugly as I'm re watching the second half... The "Late blitz" or whatever the D gurus call it where a guy blitzes from 7 yards behind the LOS needs to stop. High level QB's just eat that up and we are left with a patchy secondary. Did it twice on their long TD drive in the 4th... Hope we don't see that against Clemson
