🏈 The Good, The Bad and The Ugly vs. OM

Good - Brian Robinson, Bryce Young, Drew Sanders, and three quarters of that defense.

Bad - our 3rd Down defense, Armor-Davis, and Hellams.

Ugly - our fourth quarter execution. The score went from a massacre to not as impressive.

At this point, get McKinistry in there and some game experience and we gotta get someone to replace Hellams. Disappointed in our 3rd down defense. Not really a shocker considering how bad it's been, but you just shake your head.

All in all, I am very happy with this win. Game was in control early. I was a little worried with that first drive, but we bowed our neck and set the tone. Glad we won.

Good: Both the offensive line and defensive line showed up went to work on Ole Miss. Also, game ball goes to Pete Golding. Rebels had just 3 explosive passing plays (17, 18, & 42 yards) all game. Leading a defensive effort like that will cause some issues for his more vocal detractors.

Bad: The inconsistent snapping by Dalcourt and continued head scratching lack of subbing late in the game.

Ugly: Kiffin acting like an idiot with the popcorn comment before kickoff then getting his ass served to him while Arch Manning watches. For a guy who thinks he learned a lot under Nick Saban, he doesn’t seem like a guy who learned a lot under Nick Saban. Also, losing Jase McClellon. Bama is now down to 3 RB’s with 7+ games left (and Sanders isn’t 100% yet from his previous injuries).

Good - Adjustments on D and 4th down stops. Allowed 59 yards on the first drive and then 120 yards on the two trash drives. Between that, we allowed about 112 yards during the meat of the game. Golding gets a thumbs up from me.
Bad - Injuries
Ugly - Lane's demeanor. Is he trying to run off a Manning? CBS turned on him after the headset flip, both commentators addressed the popcorn comment, the halftime studio team had popcorn buckets. He's just a tool.

Good:
-Almost everything 😀 . That may have been the cleanest/best half of football in the Saban era... Special!
-Bryce Young is just a cool customer. So impressed with his maturity and approach. Just a calming influence out there
-Golding with the bounce back. I hadn't fired him so I don't owe any apologies, but I was a certainly intrigued by how this would go
-As good as Golding was, OB's play calling was absolutely fantastic. Part of the reason our D was so successful was the offense's ability to control the game. Perfect combo of run & pass today
-BRob. So happy for that dude
-Line play on both sides. The DL really impressed me, they played hungry today... Mathis was special
-Defense hustling into position after plays. Great discipline there!

Bad:
-Opening kickoff going out of bounds - Might have literally been the only mistake of the half!

Ugly:
-The snaps. Not even bad, just awful. Something has to give there or there will for sure be a TO... And in general, it does impact both pass and run rhythms.

How much thanks needs to be given to Micheal Wilbon? With him calling Kiffin a clown it seemed to me LK's attention was like it's been in the past: easily distracted.

I was left shaking my head watching LK do his "mic drop" all the while thinking about how Wilbon was calling him a clown just a few days earlier.

Good- Overall great game plan and execution.

Bad- BRob probably still in the ice bath tub. :p

Ugly- Targeting calls have gotten ridicules and I believe they huddle up and decide if they're gonna call PI's on the plays before the snap.

Good: We dominated
Bad: 4th quarter I guess
Ugly: Everybody that talked shyt about CPG and our defense

We were still vulnerable on 3rd and long and over the middle. Same problems from Florida and same issues from before. So I don't think he really fixed anything, I think we just had players step up. Drew Sanders had a killer game. To'oto'o was flying around and disrupting a lot. The defensive line did well. I just think our guys played more to their potential than Golding being misunderstood. Stopping the run and our guys playing assignment football stopped Ole Miss. We still missed a lot of tackles, guys were still open, and Corral hit 72% of his passes. I also think Kiffin going for it so many times on 4th Down helped us a lot as well. That is like gambling, you may strike gold a couple times, but the odds are not with you.
