🏈 The Good, The Bad and The Ugly vs. MSU

Good- Blake Sims making two 3rd down conversions. :agree:

Bad- Giving up the 2 TD.

Ugly- Not scoreing in the 3rd QT. (This isn't because of the miss FG either.)

Going with the good:

LSU and Auburn fans will go back to keeping the right outlook on football by telling us how much we care about it and nothing else.

Defense. It's a beat up unit, one that NEEDS this WCU game this weekend to rest and relax. It bent a few times, broke on some good play calling from Mullen, but did its job in the end. H/T to Cyrus.

Blake has certainly been fun to watch this season. No matter how it ends, it'll be one of those storylines we'll talk about years from now. You guys remember the third and long when he scampered and skipped along the sideline for a first down? We talked about how this game was similar to playing Florida in the SECCG. That run reminded me a lot of McElroy's run.

The oysters last night were FANTASTIC. Oh, that's not about the game, is it?!?!

Good...Great: Blake Sims willing his team to victory in the 4th quarter. He saved Bama's season, and kept the rest of our sanity in tact.

Bad: Lack of a dominant running game against the 90th ranked defense. Henry was starting to really get his legs moving in the first quarter. Didn't see a whole lot of that in the second half.

Bad II: More dropped passes

Ugly: Too many personal foul penalties. That's Auburn's schtick, not Bama's.

When he did that, I thought about McElroy's run.

Good- Defense shut them down in the first half. Offense drove the ball in first half, and put points on the board. No turnovers. Second half we took their best shot and responded.

Bad- pregame blabber on CBS to the effect that if MSU lost their season would collapse

Ugly - well, no more. Where are all the so called experts who insisted that we could not win with Blake Sims -

Good- Strong play by our defense. Blake coming through in the clutch on the last TD drive. That man JK Scott flipping field position all night.
Bad- We got out of rhythm on offense. I thought we should have ran the ball to milk some game clock, but instead, we threw it 5-6 plays in a row and went 3 and out. Defense got tired as a result.
Ugly- really can't think of any. Someone said personal fouls. On one on Devall, I agree. The one on DePriest was a hustle penalty on 4th down trying to make a stop. I can live with those.
