🏈 The Good, The Bad and The Ugly vs. Missouri

Good: glad college football is back, this offense is going to be great, defense looked very good except for a couple of breakdowns and we made all our Pat's
Bad: couple of defensive breakdowns.
Ugly: We didn't cover. Looks like a lot of people lost bama bucks

Good- The win.

Bad- D still has a long way to go. Missed assignments a, losing contain and gap control and throw on top of that missed tackles.

Ugly- 2nd string DL/OL needs much improvement .

Good- We don't suck like a lot of teams I saw today, using the " no spring practice" excuse.

Bad- our DB tackling is bad

Ugly- LSU, Jawja, Awburn, OU, Big12 in general....yeah they some teams out there that need to play on cardboard cause they look real good on paper.

Good: Mac looked really good. Calm and composed, made great decisions.
Bad: Seemed like every offensive lineman wanted to get their own false start penalty for a second there.
Ugly: Did not finish the game well at all.

All in all, not too bad considering other performances I saw today. There are a lot of areas that need improving but Bama still looked like Bama. Really happy CFB is back. Today almost felt normal. Almost.

Good:
-Mac was extremely efficient. Looked to me like the arm strength has improved. The 2nd TD to Waddle was a dime!
-Waddle. Best all around weapon in the CNS era. By the end of the year, it won't be close.
-LB's, in particular Christian Harris. He was playing so much faster and with aggression... Looked like a throwback Saban LB'er. Great to see Moses out there as well. Don't know what we consider Will Anderson, but he looks every bit of a potential 1st rounder. He looks bigger/faster/stronger than I expected. Going to be a fun 3 years!
-Najee is such a beast. Glad he's getting rewarded w/ some TD's for coming back
-Reichard looks the part to me. Kicks get high quickly and he made 1... Yay
-Bryce looked pretty good to me! I see the elite arm strength and mobility. Glad he got some live bullets tonight!

Bad:
-2nd string OL looked a mess... Was hoping they'd be better. Would've liked to see them & Sanders with a legit ground & pound.
-Blown coverage on the 3rd quarter TD. Not sure what happened?

Ugly:
-Ain't got one. Roll Tide!

Good.....did it feel good to see CF.....
Bama O...Kicking game....

bad....D is made up of outstanding players....not playing outstandingly....in not well coached schemes....

ugly.....blocking by 2s...especially for Sanders... and D backfield....late

Good: Mac looked comfortable all game long. You can tell this is team. He spread the ball around too. I saw C. Harris hit holes & people 2X faster than last year.
Bad: False starts, especially after the 12 yard loss Devonte took. I thought we had some momentum going before that.
Ugly: Not really ugly but Bryce didn't look as good as I was led to believe. I know it was his first college game, jitters, etc. I saw a few rockets though. He’ll be aw right.

We don't have a great player on the DL. Just a bunch of average people. Can't get off the field. How good is Mizzou? We'll see down the road.

Bama is up 35-3 before they pulled the starting QB and started substituting on both offense and defense. The game was O.V.E.R. at that point. This defense, that you're calling "a bunch of average people" didn't allow more than five plays on seven of the eight Mizzou possessions.
3 plays, punt.
5 plays, downs
5 plays, punt
5 plays, punt
12 plays, 50 yard FG
5 plays, and the half ended after gaining what, a half of a yard?
5 plays, fumble.

124 yards, three points, and we're in the middle of the third quarter.

But these guys are average? No offense but I see average game awareness with that kind of take.

And, let it be said, I was impressed with what Missouri did last night. They were better than I expected and if they get a few things cleaned up should give UT a run Saturday.

I'll have to double check here but I'm thinking about 130 of their 322 yards came on two plays: busted coverage by a frosh on one play and then 75 to end the game. Larry Roundtree will play on Sunday's but it's average to hold him to 67 yards on 14 carries. As a team, the Tigers put up 69 yards. What was the average passing...they gained about 10 per completion (obviously the wheel route taints that number, but still.)

A solid opening game.

They are better than you expected? So there is NO chance they're not that good and their little success was due to Bama ain't all that on defense?

Did you see ONE Bama DL kicked azz or dominating his space? The best thing I saw on defense was the play of the two ILB over the 2 from last year.

Mizzou may be pretty dang good but I will have to see it 1st
