šŸˆ The Good, The Bad and The Ugly vs. LSU

Bad - Kirk Herbstreit. Dude was actively rooting the entire game for LSU. Must still be butt hurt over Alabama clapping blOhio State's cheeks in January.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^Good: The "mute" button on
my remote. At least we ain't Mich. State this a.m.

Bad: Bad ass Will Anderson.

Ugly : Snaps on our missed FG and extra point. Not sure I can put something we didnt have in here like a running game. Pretty sure BRob was in the double digits on whiffing picking up blitzes, but at least he wasn't by himself.

There wasn’t a whole lot to cheer about … we were as stunned as I can remember a Tide crowd being since Saban arrived. I don’t know if it came across on TV but the crowd did get loud for the D in the 2nd half. It’s impossible to get up for 3 and outs … especially when they come one right after the other.
That is when the team needs the crowd the most...

Good- outside of the fake punt, the defense played lights out! Will Anderson ā€œwilledā€ that win last night! The kid is a damn beast!!! He got some help too up front from Mathis and Turner benefited from the chaos Will was causing.

Bad- WTH did the offensive staff work on during the bye week, their damn resumĆØ? No rhythm to the play calling, no reasoning, BY running for his damn life and BRob got no lanes to run at all. My only guess as to why Roydell didn’t see the field anymore was because of inexperience on blitz pickup, because he was a bright spot.

Ugly- penalties, bad snaps of PAT/FG-cost us 4 points. Win would have still been ugly, but all of the assholes in the stands wouldn’t have been so puckered!!

I agree but there wasn’t any booing or anything like that happening … and there was cheering going on … just not the loud noise you typically find at BD. I wasn’t exaggerating … I think the crowd came expecting one thing but was seeing something totally unexpected. I know I was stunned … completely stunned. This was a devastatingly depleted LSU team with a lame duck coach playing on the road. That coach had run his foul mouth the last time here and everyone expected a fired up Bama team that would play with passion. That passion didn’t show up offensively the entire game. Defensively there was a sense of urgency and anger and passion … especially late but again, this wasn’t what the BD fans were expecting. Lastly, I just re-watched as much of the game as I could stand and I can tell you BD was louder than it appeared on TV. I have no explanation as to why that happened other than maybe the sound engineers were expecting a different Bama to show up as well and had set the sound breakthrough levels up too much?

The offensive game plan and oline play looked like it
was straight from Mike Shulas teams...
The offense had no rhythm...
The play calling was slow....
No Hurry up...
Slow Still getting plays in..

Oline looked lost...looked like there was fingerpointing on bench area...

I have seen videos people took and the crowd was loud. I don't think ESPN had the broadcast mic'd right. They would show the band but you couldn't hear them. I also think Herbstreit & Fowler had the booth window closed because you could never hear the crowd.

I even flipped to other games to make sure it wasnt my TV. There just wasnt something right about that broadcast. Like the team it just seemed off.

ā€œwe just arent use to being physically beat and still win...ā€

Do you think we were physically beat on defense?
If so, I disagree!

The crowd was loud, supporting the D. As Saban said in the post game, usually the crowd gets excited over offensive plays, but the defense did their job in this game. The whole game was four down territory, and they fought and did well enough to hold them to 14.

Offensive line execution, and perhaps playcalling, were unacceptable. Drops early hurt our continuity. Latu catches that first one, we’re off to the races. The end was nauseatingly NFL, knowing we would not pass and the QB keeper would be the final play for the O.

The lesson is, has been, and will always be: NEVER be up by less than one score late in a game.

It was cranking...the lady behind was loud for sure
