🏈 The Good, The Bad and The Ugly vs. LSU

Good - LSU, that's the best LSU team since Coach Saban was there. Burrows is the real deal. Thank God he'll be somewhere else next year.
Bad - Our team's play the entire first half. LSU had a good game plan for us.
Ugly - Dickerson's dumbass penalty. I really hate to see our players do things like that.

Bama is lucky that we've not played anybody worth a shit this year and we have only one more team that is good on the schedule. Hopefully 13 will be healthy when we have to go to the barn. It doesn't bode well for us that 21 and 5 are still starting on defense along with 36. I don't recall a worse LB starting at Alabama than 36.
If we can't stop the run any better than what we showed yesterday, Auburn will gash our defense, hopefully Gus will think Boverthrow Pix has throw the ball 50 times to win. Handling their defense is a different story, LSU's offensive stats were similar to ours agaist Auburn except for one differnce, Auburn kept them out of the end zone (2tds and 2FGs).

good: Najee Harris. he played his ass off most of the game

bad: the defense. the defense played like ass most of the game

ugly: the fat girl (~5'5" and well over 200 lbs) i saw in skin-tight ripped jeans and a tight shirt that was about 6 inches too short on the bottom end and several inches too short on the top end. 🤮

Good: Najee Harris and Devonta Smith's effort. Tua coming back and slinging the rock like we have come to appreciate.

Bad: Coaching. Sarkisian and Golding just killed us. Running Slade Bolden instead of you 6'2 - 230 bruiser is just asinine to the players and the fans who are supporting you. Golding looked like a middle school coach out there and quiet frankly has this defense underachieving. Supposedly have a Top 5 defensive backfield, yet we get scorched over the middle ALL DAY LONG, and especially on 3rd and longs. Just pathetic.

Ugly: 3rd and Long. The effort or lack there of was just ugly. Edwards Hellaire out-manned our entire defense. Even when we had him stopped, he just wanted it more. Not on one occasion, but about twenty different ones. Mayden was awful as usual as well. Hate calling out a guy, but it was ugly watching him.

In the end, I wanted a different outcome, but in the back of my mind I knew this LSU team could beat us and all streaks have to end eventually. We have everything in front of us and maybe a loss is what these young guys needed. We coasted on ability most of the year, but finally played someone and we hopefully realized all the mistakes will get you beat when you're evenly matched. We gotta drill Auburn. Roll Tide.

@BamaFan334
Right on coaching
Went to 3 man line with wide splits. Burrow just took off right up middle. Looked like a joe kine Defense
... but what got me was....trying to get back in game. Time was going to be big factor late in game
And Sark was changing plays and couldn't get right groups on field. Players running half way on and then back off
Running play clock into single digits. Every body just standing around over n over
And minutes were critical. But D couldn't stop joe anyway
Really bad panic on coaching

Kicking game. You believe these college kickers?

Congrats to lsu though

So many things backwards about this play...

I hated how we slowly got out there and executed it. Like - "Hey LSU - We are running the wildcat, so get ready!".

And obviously when you have a fantastic QB, 4 likely first round receivers, a big time RB, a good backup RB, and Bolden is the guy we run up the middle for a yard... It should be questioned. Players make plays... He's not the guy you want carrying the ball with the season on the line - After you've slowly set up and poorly blocked it.

In regards to Golding... Defense is tough to coach now a days. I generally consider tackling an individual effort and focus thing where some guys came up short yesterday. But the 12 men on the field penalties are a coaching issue. When players are looking at the sideline when the ball is being snapped, that's a coaching issue. And in big games against great offenses, those things happen a lot.

I thought I noticed early in the 2nd half, we just made a call and stuck with it. Players weren't making calls right before the snap and adjusting... And as the half went on, we were back to making late adjustments. And I have no idea why more teams don't do what Alabama did to LSU.... When we faked the "Look at the sideline" adjustment and quick snapped the ball, caught them flat footed and scored an easy TD. Unfortunately LSU didn't have to quick snap because they still caught a handful of guys, consistently, not in formation & focused at the snap... But I'm wondering why more offenses haven't figured out that fake "look" quick-snap idea.

Good- the fight our boys showed to give us a shot. Tua, Najee, Smith, Lewis, Jennings, Barmore played their damn hearts out.
Bad- 3 HUGE momentum swinging plays in the first half that ultimately led to 17 points the other way. Tua’s fumble the opening drive, Perine’s muffed punt snap, and then the final dagger, Tua’s INT.
Tackling- WTH? That was the worst exhibition of tackling I have seen by a BAMA defense in a very long time, outside of the 3 guys I mentioned above. McKinney and Mayden had 10+ tackles each but had several big misses as well.
Ugly- same shit different week. Undisciplined penalties!
Officiating and review!!!! These guys get paid $3k apiece each week and then proceed to go out and blow 8-10 key plays a game and then have guys in replay defend their sorry asses!! Shit is awful!

Good: The team didn't give up. Devonta Smith.

Bad - Officiating. Missed calls on both sides. No facemask on the punt return (although it would have been declined). Attrocious call when the receiver stepped out of bounds (on his own) and came back in to catch the ball at the six-inch line.

Ugly - DBs. I've said it before; it is the major weakness of the defense. 393 yards on any defense is horrible.

I could post a list but it would basically be this

Wish we had 3 or 4 more of these, hell, just one more and we could be flashing back to the Curry/Copeland days. :)

Alabama has heart and guts and played until the end. Also, LSU doesn't have a shut down defense this year. That could have been important if not for the fact that LSU could score late to win instead of Alabama. That being said,

Good - Bama made the score closer that the game was.
Bad - INT at the end of the half, muffed punt.
Ugly - Tua's fumble. That set up LSU to turn the table early. And that fumble was not pretty.
