🏈 The Good, The Bad and The Ugly vs. LSU

Good- Scott putting them way back!

Bad- Flags not being call on LSWhoo. That one in the end zone was a hold wasn't it?

Ugly- Gary Danielson the way he said, if this would had happen, LSU would had .

Real Bad Ugly - Injuries, to our players.

Good - special teams

Bad - where do I start? 1. Offensive line gave no push up front, thus limiting the run game. 2. Daboll's play calling was atrocious, no offensive rhythm. We are definitely not the BAMA of recent years. This has to be the worst offensive scheme in Saban's tenure.

Ugly - Injuries. SDH is likely done for the year. Minkah will be okay. Time for the youngsters to step up.

Good - Jalen made a number of throws when they were absolutely needed despite shitty blocking for a lot of the game. Had the best runs of the night too.
JK Scott was killer, absolutely flipped the field all night.
Defense minus the big run really played their tails off, especially considering all the injuries. We saw Moses, Williams, McMillan, Carter, etc. playing a hell of a lot more tonight than they had all year. Williams really played well and probably earned a lot of playing time moving forward. Raekwon had a hell of a game, too.

Bad - Offense for a big chunk of the game (entire second quarter after the 2nd touchdown and much of the third). It was really everybody. Jalen made some big throws but he had a few bad decisions (bad throws, holding the ball too long and then also getting happy feet), offensive line was freaking terrible for a lot of the game in the running game and passing and just too many flat out dropped passes. When its a bad throw or just a tough catch to make at time's it's understandable but receivers CANNOT be dropping passes that are literally dead-on accurate. That is inexcusable. Too many 2-3 yard runs and negative plays in the running game.

Too many 5-9 yard runs from LSU. I think they found the blueprint for teams to give this defense trouble. All of the jet sweeps and end arounds really opened up the middle a lot more than we're used to seeing and it gave them some opportunities down the field on play-action too. They just didn't have the weapons to take advantage.

Ugly - Officiating was pretty atrocious, too. I really, really try not to blame the referees because I think its whiny and I BS most of the time and those guys DO have a tough job but tonight was just uncalled for. The non-PI on Smith in the end-zone, the non-call on the punt return where an LSU player pushed another LSU player into Marks but the referee's claimed a Bama player did it and the non-hold on Jalen's long pass to Ridley on the last touchdown drive were pathetic.

LSU's decision to put in a freshman QB with 2 minutes left and down by two was beyond head-scratching. That is an IMPOSSIBLE situation to put that kid in and pretty much destroys Etling's confidence.

Injuries, good God how much more can this team freaking endure? Minkah is probably the biggest injury that could possibly come to this team and I'm including Jalen in that. Minkah is invaluable.

Good- Beam me up Scottie

Bad- Run selection. Every time they ran up the middle, it went for 4+ yards, yet kept trying to run to the right side.

Ugly- Current LB depth. Really hate if for SDH, two straight seasons with late injuries ending his season.

Good -

Bad - Minkah's injury banging his head against what must be an LSU player's steel cajones.

Ugly - The officiating, like Bird said, and all the injuries.

Good: 1. Rashaan Evans! BOOOOOM
2. Jalen's clutch downfield passing in the first half

Bad: 1. The "Let's Show Off JK Scott to the NFL Scouts" game plan. Tua? Najee? Jacobs? They were needed last night.
2. Dropped (&#%_# passes!!

Ugly: 1. Ditto to all the others re: injuries. Wilson and SDH...Hand again! Hopefully Minkah's MRI will turn out well.
2. Horrific no-call PI for Haw Haw's boys.

Good - That defense. Very dependable. Payne was in beast mode last night so was Evans. Obviously JK Scott did the damn thing too

Bad - Receivers dropping the ball. Damn

Ugly - Until we get under center and RTDB up the gut more I'll be b*tching. More Harris and more Jacobs please

Unfortunately I wasn't able to watch the game that closely... I saw SDH's injury but Mack Wilson too?! Damn. SDH is just irreplacable IMO and the fact his main back up is out now is a problem. Holcombe quite possibly becomes the wildcard of that whole defense with... Markell Benton waiting in the wings?! I don't even know who's up next? I guess Moses but I was thinking he was taking more reps at OLB.

Ultimately the offense will have to carry more of a load than any group since Blake Sims starting in the SECCG and hopefully the playoffs. The D is just too banged up to dominate good offenses. Hoping Daboll gets some rhythm figured out and Jalen/WR's go big. We will need it
